Brook Grove Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a beautiful, welcoming, comfortable and very professional facility. Our loved one was given exceptional care and compassion and was very happy during her stay there while recovering from surgery. Than you all so very much for providing peace, comfort and care for our loved one and our family.
BG Rehab and Nursing is the best in Montgomery County. Regular audits by the county seldom find any deficiency. I have visited people in various Nursing Centers during the past 10 years. Permanent and temporary residents at BG were happy with the care, meals, pleasant welcoming environment, activities and more. I am always impressed with BG's caring staff when visiting someone. I have observed bad care at several other facilities where inattention had sometimes led to medical decline of the person I was visiting.
Our mother is a resident of Brooke Grove. She was initially in the assisted living facility but transitioned beautifully to the nursing center this year. She is stable and thriving. Mom enjoys interacting with the Brooke Grove staff and other residents. We are grateful for the care she receives at Brooke Grove.
My family and I are very pleased with the Brooke Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Since my sister entered Brooke Grove she has received exceptional care and service. I have visited many Nursing Facilities throughout the DMV in my line of work, and I have found that this Facility is superior to them all!! I want to thank the entire staff for their commitment to the health and welfare as well as the wonderful social activities provided to the Brooke Grove patients that my sister loves. Thank You!
Nurses aides do not wear employee identification. When asked for I.d., most ignored/some were hostile. They are very friendly/responsive when family members are present. Plan on about one hour wait from time nurses light is on to actual nurse response. Attractive rm/good therapy Nursing staff is mostly rude, verbally abusive, & indifferent. Expect retaliation if you complain to nursing mgmt. while still a patient. I would never allow any family member to be left here
My wife suffered a TBI from fall at home. She arrived at Brooke Grove Rehab and Nursing Center after spending 3 months in various hospitals. She came for the rehab and she stayed 3 months. To say the PT staff is amazing is an understatement. She arrived on a stretcher unable to hold her head up and left there in a wheelchair. She still needed a hospital bed I got her the exact model she had at BG for use at home and 24-7 care at home and more therapy, both at home and as an outpatient. Just yesterday we stopped by to visit the staff and thank them. My wife also wanted to show them she could walk, talk, and use her left hand her left arm and hand were both frozen due to spasticity. Her stay from July - October, 2020 was during the height of COVID-19. They had their procedures down pat and moved her into a new COVID-free wing. We couldn't asked for more caring and professional help. 3 months is a long time. Was every day a perfect one? Well , It came really close. Lapses in attention were extremely rare. It was a very stressful time for both staff and patients, and for loved ones unable to visit. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. I forgot to mention that I hired a care manager to guide me through my wife's care and treatment. Brooke Grove was her first recommendation. After two months of looking for COVID-free facilities , some 100 miles away, I couldn't find anything better.
The nurses and technicians who cared for my mom were so kind, caring, and loving. They treated my mom with respect and were also a fun group! Family involvement is important to them and meant a lot to me as her daughter and caretaker. The doctor, the administrator, dietician, PT, OT, Speech, activities staff and all involved worked so hard on the complexities of my mom's issues. Thank you all for your loving care!
I was in rehab twice this past year for foot injuries and for a broken vertebra and damaged SI joints. The physical and occupational therapy teams are amazing. They’re caring and really helped me regain ability I had lost. Most of the staff are good, but there are some to whom it’s just a job. When you’re in a facility like this and you’re in a room by yourself and there’s little communication, it gets pretty difficult and not everybody wants to watch TV all day long. Still, the care there was better than at other facilities.
Never again. Well meaning but unmanaged and just plain absent staff. No communication, calls not returned, emails not returned, was forced to be there every day to insure well being of my mom. Nurses call button does not alert nurses desk, only flashes a light over the entrance to the room. If there is no one in the hall, and that was most of the time, no response. Sent for cardiac care after a heart attack. If the call button pressed, 30 minutes to an hour response time is not acceptable. Physical therapy was excellent.
I’m writing from the view of a family member of a patient. I was always greeted with a smile and how are you when passing employees. Mom was cared for like a guest not paying client. The physical therapy challenged her but never felt it was pushing beyond her ability.. The meal selection was appetizing and attractive. Her room was comfortable and amazingly spacious for a semi private. Perks were the patios with relaxing beautiful views perfect for visitation. Secure, well run and comforting to know my loved one was in good hands!
