Came to the surgery today and was assisted by Yasmin- she is always so helpful and kind. Personally, I have always had a positive experience with the surgery- I manage to get appointments when required for myself and my children and have had very few issues overall- any I have had, have been sorted out by communicating with the surgery staff.
I had a phone call with the pharmacist regarding a review of my child’s medication. She has a lot of medication she to heart and general body problems. He was really friendly, listened to what I say and had guidance if I needed it. Very nice person and caring towards us. Really appreciate it
I always had the unfortunate experience of dealing with my local GP's appointment system, and I must say that it left me extremely frustrated and disappointed. The inefficiency and lack of consideration for patients' time and convenience were evident at every step. First and foremost, it is incredibly difficult to secure an appointment at this GP practice. The availability of appointments is scarce, and the process is unnecessarily complicated. It's almost like playing a game of chance, as if getting sick or needing medical attention is a lottery. It's disheartening to see how a basic healthcare service fails to meet the needs of its patients. Even if you manage to call at the exact moment the phone lines open at 8 in the morning, there's no guarantee that you'll actually be able to book an appointment. It's astounding that even with my diligence, it takes a whopping 45 minutes of waiting on hold to finally get through to someone. This is an unacceptable waste of time for patients who may be in urgent need of medical attention. What adds insult to injury is the absurd policy of not allowing patients to book two appointments together. This means that if you have multiple health concerns with two or more family members or need to see different healthcare professionals, you have to go through the entire frustrating process multiple times and you need to call from other number. It's a mind-bogglingly inefficient system that puts unnecessary strain on patients who are already dealing with health issues. In conclusion, my experience with this local GP has been nothing short of a nightmare. The difficulty in securing an appointment, the lengthy waiting times on the phone, and the inability to book multiple appointments together have left me feeling frustrated and let down. It is my sincere hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for the practice to reevaluate its appointment system and prioritize the needs of its patients.
I have been trying to get an appointment for the past 7 days, I call them every morning sharp at 8 and yet my call is always in the waiting at above 30. I stay on hold for more than 40 minutes and after that I get told that there are no appointments left and go to the emergency or call 111. If this is what I always have to do to go to the emergency then whats the point of my local surgery. My daughter had not been well for the past few days and I also have been chasing to change my prescription for almost 2 weeks now. I suffer from Hiatus Hernia and I have been really struggling for the past few days but my local surgery don't even care. The receptionist tells me to call at 8am which I have been doing for many days but yet unable to get any appointments. Shame
I've never had a bad experience with this surgery, I can see many 1 star reviews and feel personally it's not that bad, I've definitely had worse. Pretty much get an appointment 8/10 times I've called. Reception staff always polite, helpful or apologetic if they can't cant help on an occasion. Doctors always always caring and professional. I've witnessed people behave very rudely to the staff here, but I've only witnessed them doing their utmost best. Tough times for medical centre staff, they deserve more respect and ideally pay!
Recently moved to this practice as advised by local to do so. Well not sure what the point was. firstly they messed up a prescription for my daughter so I had to chase that, then today, my son who is not even 4 has had a fever for 4 days and woke up with white streaks on his tonsils couldn’t even get an appointment. I called dead on 8am and whilst the receptionist was polite enough the fact that they ‘ don’t have the staff’ to see a child is disgusting. Changed surgeries to actually be able to see a doctor and I am yet to be able to see one. Seems like another useless surgery
The quality of service provided by the GP is extremely unsatisfactory! I've been making daily calls at 8 am for my 4-year-old's ear pain, only to find out that all the appointments are booked by 8.15 am. Furthermore, they requested us to send pictures for the doctors to assess the condition, which we did, but it has been 2 weeks and we still haven't received a response.
Booking an appointment is near impossible, can not book in advance, and for the past few days I have rang at 8am when they open, and waited 30 minutes in a queue to be told there are no available appointments and would have to call back Monday morning to start all over again. I have never had this issue with other surgeries, really is appalling.
This doctors is an absolute joke. The reception staff are so rude particularly an older woman. Not all are just 1-2 Who loves to talk over you and also think she is a doctor. The waiting times are an absolute joke when In the practise I have waited 2 hours nearly after my appointment time. If I was you avoid this place and register with a different practise. I’m leaving to go to another local surgery…
Would give no stars, have given up entirely on seeing a doctor. They can't even send over prescriptions consistently. You get ignored in stood in reception and get to see them actively ignore calls. They will text you for you to call and make an appointment, where as they could just make the appointment for you and text you that instead. This surgery is terrible. Hi, so apparently you wish to try and help resolve my issues. I ordered a repeat of my prescription through system online. At no point did it tell me meds were due a review or offer to request an online review. This request was made on the 3rd of April, you sat on it for nine days and did nothing with it. I've called and attended in person since then and you still haven't done a thing to progress this for me. Instead you've lied to me and told me it will get processed, first two days ago, then yesterday. I've not slept for 48 hours and I'm experiencing strong feelings of tribulation. Why? Why am I left to deal with this? At this point, 11 days after making my initial request, surly this is malpractice.
