when we first moved here from NYC this place was pretty good. in fact the first time it was not unlike a standard pizza place. would not be the best in the city but was on par with any reliable slice. we had gone once or twice more and I'd describe it as "would not get it if i was at home but fully acceptable here" but the quality has just been bad. I'm not sure if it's appealing to local taste but the sauce to cheese ratio is way off and it's almost like the oven deck isn't hot enough because the dough is borderline undercooked giving the slice a terrible structure. if you don't eat your pizza the right way maybe this is fine but it's not edible as far as I'm concerned. effectively a waste of a pie.
My first time ratting here. I was very impressed. My husband went to pick it up, everyone was really nice and very clean. The pizza is absolutely amazing! If you call and the rings and rings trust me, it's worth the wait.
Best pizza in Hampstead hands down. Always fresh and delicious. There’s nothing on the menu that we have not liked. Their garlic knots are a perfect side dish.Dine in: NoOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
We were vacationing at Topsail Beach, and made the drive to Nunzio's because we were craving Italian. Have to say, BEST I've had outside of NY. Whole family was impressed, and we're REAL critical, so, that says a LOT!Food: 5/5
Authentic New York style pizza and hoagies. Everything we've ordered has been fresh and delicious. The staff answering the phone and the delivery people are always courteous and helpful. Wonderful pizzeria!Food: 5/5
Great pie place finally. And best of all the pizza is made by Yankee family. Bronx strong. Good pie. Been looking for the pizza that is ya know like the city. Best pizza in the coastal North Carolina.Food: 5/5
*** update- original owner is no longer involved in the business and us locals miss his pizza! The new owner randomly closes the place on a Sunday! What?!?! And increased the prices while cutting the quality. Its a shame. We no longer order from Nunzios :- ****** Moved from up north and thought we said good bye to delicious NY pizza forever. Then we ordered from Nunzios. This is the best pizza ever! Even better than all the New Haven pizza and NY pizzas up north. This is our go to place.
Not a bad pie at all, but the toppings were too concentrated in the center of the pie. Spread them all the way out nearer to the edge. Edit: gonna have to take a star away because I found a peice of PINEAPPLE on my pie. Only two kinds of fruit belong on a pizza, and pineapple AIN'T one of them.
Went in here today and let me tell you, best pizza I've had since I left the NY/NJ area.Food: 5/5
“Mailbox is full and there is no room to leave messages” That’s the response when you call the phone number. Don’t think they are open even though all their hours say they are.
