There is so much to learn! Lots of great artifacts! I fell in love with the sensory area that applies to all five senses. I also enjoyed the interactive room where you can try on costumes, listen to sounds, draw, play interactive game with art pieces. It's a total vibes. One portion was closed. But there is so much to dooooooooooooo!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
The beauty of the Brooks Museum is so effortless. The trees are giant and peaceful. The entire area is buzzing with people loving life. Keller came to me with plans to ask his long time girlfriend Emily to be his wife on the grounds of the Brooks Museum. He picked the perfect spot around sunset and took her completely off guard and asked her to be his wife. She didn't hesitate for an emotional yes as these two embraced as the sunset breeze took them away. The Brooks has endless beauty and holds a sentiment to all who visit.
This was a really nice museum to visit. We went on their free night and enjoyed our visit very much. There is a kid area that allows them to dress up, draw, listen to sounds, and do some climbing. The art and exhibits of items are very interesting. I enjoyed the items from Egypt. Would visit again when we come into town to visit with family.
Huge building but underwhelming size and quality of collections. Heavy on regional American artists, some impressionists. Quite hot in many spaces during summer midday. Guards were strangely aggressive. Albeit underutilized, the original neoclassical building is perhaps the most interesting aspect—it’s a shame they’re abandoning it soon. Takes about 1.5 hours to see everything. Currently free admission on Saturdays 10-12.
Went here for prom pictures. Beautiful day and there was so many beautiful things to take pictures by
I really enjoyed this place. I hadn’t gone many times I went and then had a friend who wanted to go. I wish I had gone sooner. Not huge, but a really nice collection with some very interesting pieces. I have gone to many museums all over the world, and I enjoyed every minute of it here.
I never get tired of this place! There's also something new to discover at The Brooks Museum of Art! ...whether an outdoor Art Installation or a New Artist Exhibition, there something for the Art Lover in us all to delight in!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree
Accessible and many beautiful works to inspire any budding artist of any age.
A lot of the galleries are closed right now but they have done some pretty spectacular renovations that really elevate the experience at the Brooks. I love the improved displays and the new perspectives on the gallery presentations that are much more inclusive to women and BIPOC artistsVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10
Great exhibits. Kind staff. Well organized layout considering how many different kinds of art they have. Highly recommend. And go in a Wednesday for late nights and free admission! 11/10
