This review is based off of an average amateur golfer. We were here for a tournament and unfortunately it was raining for half the holes, but as it got dryer and hotter, it became a solid golfing course. My first time here and I’ve heard about this spot from friends, it’s not too difficult but not too easy. I thought it was a good mix of par 3’s & 4’s. I just wish there was more cart services for food and beverages on the course, but still solid. Overall I thought it was an excellent course and the greens were well kept. There was also an awesome food/dining service area and a solid golf shop. I would definitely come back again, I highly recommend it and I can’t wait to try it on a full summer day.
Didn’t golf…just here for the food. Our server Vanessa was awesome. Bloody Mary was very good and so was the food. Had a delicious breakfast croissant and avocado toast. SO good! Yummy!’
I have been coming to Brookside for over 20 years. There are two courses to choose from, and each offers it's own unique level of difficulty. The golf carts have built in GPS showing you the layout of the hole, and distance to the pin. The cart's software prevents you from going onto the areas approaching the green approximately 100 yards in. The grounds a well kept, and you definitely feel the serenity of the landscape while playing. There's a large driving range and two practice putting greens. Even just coming for a day of practice at the range is an experience. The pro shop has a lot of great options from gear, balls, and clothing. Lastly, the restaurant is A-Class for this being a public course. The food is great, and the staff here are always pleasant. Negatives: the golf cart will come to an immediate halt when coming close to the putting greens so stay on the cart path, and the parking close to the course gets full quick unless you have a mega early tee time be prepared to come an extra 5 minutes earlier to walk from the overflow lot. Driving range prices as of 2022: Sm, $7; Med, $12; Lg, $15.
This is a very busy golf course in the 626 area. Compare to other courses, Brookside is a pretty long and challenging course that requires good course management skills. Even par for the ladies is 75. The lady at the starter was very friendly and nice that she gave me some pointers of this course as this was my first time playing here. Unfortunately, I played here on a rainy day, and it was freezing. I would love to come by on a good day, and play again. Plenty of parkings are available, but it could be far from the club house. Carrying your golf bag on a hot summer day might be an issue.
Great golf course great staff and course 1 nice and long drives course 2 little more challenging not as long but very enjoyable. Awesome golf course to hold a tournaments can easy accomadate 300+ golfers.
Walked the 3 mile circuit around the Rose Bowl, then breakfasted at the restaurant. Beautiful food outside with birds and breezes and golfing greens beyond. Staff was excellent and good humored.
Great open area with food, drinks, & concert stages.
Great festival - Just Like Heaven. Was able to see my fave band ever - Empire of the Sun!!! Also, MGMT played their stuff. All time spent with 2 of my 4 sons. Just awesome!
The golf courses are well kept and the maintenance team tries to keep the fairway and greens in the best shape it can always. Great public courses.
two course. range is cool. two putting areas. they have a chipping area which is big but kinda underkept... but its free so i ain't complaining. parking can be difficult but it's the rose bowl so it's expected. course goes back and forth in terms of being in good shape but they have some great deals here and there. one of my golf spots. thx
