My sons and I took advantage of a coupon for a round of golf today. The course I’m going through some renovations and plays quite well. It’s narrow with elevated greens and tee boxes on many holes. Not much water, but plenty of tight fairways. Winds it’s way through a neighborhood and through wooded areas providing a blend of both scenery. Greens were fast and bumpy with uneven growth or ball marks. Some grounds were under repair or patchy grass, but I’ve seen a lot worse. All in all, a good value.
A wonderful public course in a great location with easy access to and from the highway. Definitely one of the best public golf courses you are gonna find in the upstate. I was most pleased with the beautiful greens and the fact that they are trying to improve so many aspects of the golf course. So I can’t wait to see what The Club At Brookstone will look like as each of the projects are completed.
Under new ownership that is on a mission to bring Brookstone up to its potential, and I’m excited about it. The course is getting there. It’s been a several year process on that. The new owners are breathing life into the invaluable indirect variables that have an incredible impact on the overall experience - like venue improvements and things like new golf carts. Speaking of the new golf carts - they’re great. Fresh look and power, and super awesome GPS screens with course details that help rookies like me know what to do One thing I hope gets better is the quick concessions. Every course should have a good hot dog in my opinion and there’s some room for improvement in that area. This is my “home” course so I’m excited to see what’s ahead and highly recommend everyone check it out and give it every opportunity to become your home course too.
Winter conditions at Brookstone are fantastic. The Maintenance team has so many wonderful improvement project currently active! When these projects are completed, the spring thru fall golf season will see a golf course that has had many improvements from the new owner as a wonderful commitment!! In the winter, golf course go through these projects. I am referencing a negative review from a resident here. Greens covers laying next to greens are there for a quick cover to protect the greens from cold. the pallet is weighing it down. The piled up dirt is a cart safety project that is being performed to protect our wonderful customers from rolling off the hillside. The "unkept" areas are environmental conservation areas to create a more sustainable environment for our wonderful wildlife on the course. All of these wonderful projects take time, they are performed during the winter while play is slower than normal. All of these course improvement projects will ultimately provide more value to the golf course which in turn increases homeowner property value. Instead of posting a Negative review ask a question, you may be surprised that what is going on is ultimately being performed so your backyard views are more appealing. The residents of Brookstone should be proud that the golf course has an owner that is willing to invest in the golf course. If improvements aren't made, customer participation is slower. If customers stop coming, the course could possibly close. If the golf course would close down, the residents home value would plummet to an all time low. So, if you're complaining about course improvement projects maybe you should educate yourself on how valuable this can be for your homes value. The alternative would not be beneficial for someone trying to sell a home! Be a positive influence instead of a crabby paddy
The Club At Broostone, located just off Highway 81 in Anderson, South Carolina was a gem of a course. Thr fairways were smooth and well manicured. The greens were a little fast, and in great shape. Overall, the course was well maintained. The a taff in the pro shop were friendly and the prices reasonable. The courae itself was challenging, but fair!! Give them a shot the next time you are in Anderson.
10/10 Recommend, everything was superb! The Brussels sprouts are top tier, along with steak that melts in your mouth, the pork chops and garlic Parmesan & honey lemon pepper wings are all spectacular! The service and attentiveness of our waitress was great, and the ambience is just perfect!
I had a wonderful experience playing this course for the first time. The greens were in immaculate condition and I would put their greens up against any other course. The staff were extremely nice and very helpful and we will definitely be back to play again.
Pro shop was disrespectful to our group playing today. Cart would not go up hills and had it push cart. Greens were covered in dirt. One of the worst experiences in all of South Carolina.
We really enjoyed hosting our golf outing at Brookstone! The course was beautiful and pro shop was very nice and accommodating.
Wont let you play a five some even if its 6:48 am and no one is there. Old guy in the glasses in the front wouldn't budge so I had to leave cause I didnt wanna run a solo. Management do better.
