Our curriculum is tailored to compensate for language based learning disorders, like dyslexia. It is one few schools serving such students in the Atlanta area. Our class sizes are 7 or less, which allows for customized instruction for each student.
Founded in 2004, the current campus was established in 2008 by Principal/Director, Kim Wigington, in order to better serve her two daughters’ reading comprehension concerns, one with dyslexia and the other an English language learner, adopted from Latvia.
We have outgrown the current building and are currently in the beginning phases of expanding our campus. While we are extremely proud of the achievement of our students, we would like to be able to help more students in need of the same services.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit: TAX ID [EIN]: 20-8499098
Our mission, at Brookwood Christian School, is to encourage exceptional students enrolled in first through twelfth grades to work to their very best abilities to achieve their full potential in a low stress Christian environment. We nurture individual learning styles while remediating specific deficits and gaps in previous instruction. We strive to improve our students’ quality of life through academics, physical, emotional, cultural, social, and spiritual growth.
