The Broomfield High School theatre program is a student-centered, group-oriented arts program. The time, energy, and talent given by the students is a clear reflection of the belief, as Arthur Miller put it, that“there lies within the dramatic form the ultimate possibility of raising the truth consciousness of mankind to a level of such intensity as to transform those who observe it.”
Kairos is an ancient Greek word meaning the right or opportune moment (the supreme moment). The ancient Greeks had two words for time, chronos and kairos. While the former refers to chronological or sequential time, the latter signifies a time between, a moment of indeterminate time in which something special happens (Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia). By its nature, theatre is a place of special moments collected together into a story.
