Brother Dan's Food Pantry & Hot Lunch Program - Serving the Petoskey Community
Opened in October of 2003 to help serve the needs of the Petoskey community, the pantry is a tribute to Brother Dan Badsing who gave food to anyone that came to the priest's and brother's home at St. Francis Xavier Church.
Brother Dan's Food Pantry is totally dependent on donations and fund raising. The pantry is 100% staffed by volunteers from the community and serves an average of 148 families (500 people) every two weeks.
PLEASE - help us support the community by donating time, food or financial assistance.
To serve as God's hands and help feed the hungry. We will be a supplement to the family's source of bringing food into their home. While in the pantry, they are our guests. We will welcome them with warmth as if they are coming into our home. We welcome them into our dining room with refreshments and conversation. We will serve them and keep an understanding ear. We will offer help and direction for more available help.
