We carry a full line of animals, tropical and saltwater fish, reptiles, birds, and all the supplies to maintain them.

Description

At Brothers Pets, we take animals from rescue clinics and try to find them a good home. That is where you come in! You can adopt a cat, dog, fish, reptile or exotic animal and give it a new home. We also have everything you need to care for your pet.

Join our Grub Club where you can purchase crickets and feed them to snakes, rats, mice or feed the fish. The kids love getting to interact with the animals.

Our staff has well over 100 years combined experience in animal husbandry and care. We welcome special orders and do our best to meet all of your pet needs. Brother's Fish and Pets has become one of the largest independent pet stores in the Midwest thanks to our loyal customers for almost 40 years. A good, local place. Good selection on freshwater fish, reptiles, and rodents. I recently came back for the first time in a few years and they had redesigned and updated some parts of the fish and reptiles. All animals appeared healthy, but not the cleanest place.
We have been driving by this pet store for years. You can see it clearly from I-70. My family decided today was the day we were going to stop in. Our world is being over ran with chain stores all over. My family prefers to shop locally own businesses. Unfortunately we aren't from this area and haven't stopped by before, but we have passed it many many times. I didn't know what to expect when we walked in. I was surprised to see how clean the place was. All the aquariums were so clear. They had a large selection of fish and reptiles. The staff were some of the friendliest I have ever encountered anywhere. They were engaging, they were knowledgeable, and you can tell they were hardworking. Unfortunately our chain stores are putting out the little businesses like this. People need to shop places like this more. I wish I was taking a few more pictures because it was a wonderful experience I would like everybody to enjoy. I hope you'll take your pocketbooks and drop cash at this place instead of supporting the bigger chain stores. I hope I continue for years in the future to be able to drive by this place and still see it open. I know I will be stopping more often to make purchases.
Great little non chain pet shop. Decent selection and good staff.
Quaint shop, wonderful staff; Brianna was especially helpful in testing my pond water and advising me how to best keep my fish alive. Everyone was nice to my dog.
It might be a little hard to find but it's a good store. They have a little bit of everything and are very nice and polite. I will definitely be coming back here.
I've had people recommend this place to me for years. The selection was good, though Miles of Exotics has them beat. The selection of supplies was impressive, even if the price was a bit higher. The staff was friendly and willing to help, though one of the two must be new. I felt like I was training her. Still, I wouldn't mind another visit. I did leave with a couple of newts and some supplies for my canister filter.
I went to this store to buy something that would calm my friend's 65 pound dog when we had to leave her the dog. They were visiting, for the first time, & when we left the house and couldn't take the dog, she the dog would whine and bark loudly. When I walked into the store, I was met at the counter by several employee's who responded immediately to my query with a selection of products, ranging in price from $5 a peanut butter bar, $13 doggy treats to $25 a spray bottle that could be used to calm the dog! The store clerk told us what we could expect from each product and told me stories of how he used one of the products on his dog and the effect the product had. I was very pleased with the product selection at the store and the knowledgeable and friendly service from the staff.
They are always so helpful. I love that they sell local and healthy dog foods. I told them about my dog only being able to play with one type of ball and they hunted some down and keep them in stock so when the squeaker goes out I can come get a new one. They are great people. In fact, a girl that works there has recognized me a couple times and gone to get my food and brought it to the register to where I didn't even have to go grab it. Now that is customer service.
I personally love the place. The employees seem very nice and seem like they enjoy their job. There is a large variety of different animals and adorable fish. It may be a bit pricey but that's because they actually take care of the animals *cough cough PetSmart* I really enjoy it there and would go again. I hope that the people who don't understand the animals conditions are researching and finding out the place is very nice. Just because there is say a large amount of angelfish in one 30 gallon doesn't mean it's bad care because these are temporary homes. They don't need to have a whole wallwide aquarium because they aren't keeping the fish. I hope you can see past the obvious lies here and see good reviews.
The guys and girls here are amazing. Bought my entire tank set up and they are very knowledgeable on how to keep your fish alive. So glad I chose this place for my purchase. Will keep coming back!!
