If I could give 0 stars to north campus bookstore I would. There’s a women and a girl that work there and give straight attitude to you. It’s incredible how quick they are to say they can’t do anything to help. Had to keep going to the bookstore for a few weeks repeatedly for my book and always left annoyed not that I haven’t received the book yet but how much attitude I would receive for no reason. I have a job and I understand having a bad day but if you’re having a bad day at work for weeks on end you should quit or be fired instead on taking out on students trying to just study and get a career. I wouldn’t recommend getting anything in this bookstore not even a piece of candy!!
i love the professors and the school itself but the book store there is so terrible… i came in to get two books i needed for chemistry and i only was able to receive one and preorder the other. classes had already started but they had promised me i’ll receive the book on time even though i said i’ll get it off amazon and they told me that north broward bookstore was the only one that sold them. 5 weeks later i still haven’t gotten the second book i needed… i had gotten a call from one of them telling me i could ask for a refund without a receipt. when i got there in person a woman with blonde hair had told me that specifically north campus cannot be able to refund the money without a receipt and then i told her about the phone number that called me and she said it wasn’t from north campus but instead central bc. i said okay can you get the manager. while she was getting the manager i went to call the phone number that is “apparently” a central broward college number all of a sudden i hear a phone ringing in the back the same time i had called. i would hangup to see if the ringing was the number i was calling and to my surprise it was. when the manager had came, he fixed my problem but even from day one the girl with blonde hair that works there easily turns down anyone who is asking for help. it’s sad to see how miserable she looks at work and i’m so sorry for that but you shouldn’t take it out on others.
I attended Broward College with high hopes of great support and outstanding academic achievement for a better future and what I received was neglect and unfair grading stating with Mr. Lebrun. He is the reason I would never attend Broward College again due to his neglect and the second reason are the academic advisors due to their lack of support. The professor failed me by giving me two Fs on two exams that were completed and passed and when I emailed and tried to contact him for clarification on the grade given, he did not answer my phone calls nor my emails and I failed the MAT1033 class. When I emailed my academic advisor, she didn't even acknowledge my email, she forwarded the email to someone else and that other person had me fill out a form. At this point, I didn't respond nor fill out a form, I just left Broward College altogether and never came back.
I got the Covid-19 vaccine first shot here. I was in a line for almost an hour. You don't need an appointment and this is free. The staff is very friendly. They only asked me for a valid Florida ID. Once you are in you go with the patient service and give your info. Then you received a print card and a sticker. Then you get your shot and then you must wait there for 15 minutes. I highly recommend this center. I almost forget I received the Moderna so I must come back in 28 days. Please, stay safe, wear your mask and practice social distancing.
The professors are great and the campus has come along way. The bad thing is the food that is served is bad! Cheap over cooked dryed up taste like dollars store food some times the rice or what ever side taste like a plastic bag. Other than that i love bc
Stay away from Broward College Nursing program . I’m myself a Foreign Educated Physician . Graduated from Medical School in Cuba . For NCLEX and nursing I decided to enroll in the Broward College . They have good faculty for other classes such as pre requirements and sciences courses NO THE NURSING faculty . They will fail over 85-90% of students in order to make them retake the course . They will make you feel like you are not qualified to be a nurse . I dropped the program over there after 50% completion and went to another Institution to finish . I passed my NCLEX-RN with 81 questions on 91 mins . I’m a great nurse and I’m currently doing my DNP. It was not me , it was that nightmare of school . Don’t go there . Also I hear that those passing the classes had the test from the Nursing club. Yes there is corruption and bullying also by the faculty . Stay away from there or you will regret it. Be careful with Sondia Lindor a very corrupt nurse faculty that still is predating students there .
It's back to the drawing board ... last job says I'm too slow. That's ok because now I've got a great resource behind me. Personal qualifications alone aren't going to get me there. It's the vehicle I use, namely Broward College, with it's awesome community outreach and investment that will help me reach the top.
I came here to pick up some credits to finish up my AA. Most teachers I had were nice, however there are some bad apples wherever you go. This past Fsll term I signed up with Rebecca Clark for EVR1001. I was signed up with disabilities and had accommodations for ADHD and depression. One week in October I wasn’t doing well and couldn’t work on school. I got behind and this professor refused to help me. I submitted an omdbus claim and no one helped me within the scope of professor, guidance, deans and disabilities department. Sad, very sad. The system failed miserably here at this school. I failed that class, because I missed that weeks work. I know it’s all on me at the end of the day, but wow did they let me just burn. Keep this in mind, especially, if you need accommodations from their “disability department.”
On 12/03/2020 I placed an order on Broward College Website requesting two copies of my transcript, order number 0MB739481. Today is 12/28/2020 and I still have not received those transcripts. I have called several times requesting to speak with a supervisor and I am always told that no one is available. I have verified my mailing address numerous times so it is clear that’s the correct information is on file. Whenever I do get a representative, I am told to contact Credential Solutions/Parchment who in turn tells me to to contact the school Broward College because they have limited access to my information. On 12/15/2020, after placing several calls Joann O'Neill-Schwartz confirmed in an email that he/she requested to have copies sent to me. Surprisingly, I still can’t get them. No one can provide me with a mailed date, tracking information or estimated delivery date. Had I known that the level of service was this poor, I would have completed my Bachelors Degree elsewhere. With that said, I sincerely hope that this matter will be addressed as I cannot request my transcripts from another school. If the matter is resolved, I will return to this page share my next experience.
Got the Covid19 vaccine as a walk-in. No prior registration necessary! God is great!
