I went in for what I thought was a standard check up but end up being delivered in 6hrs by the wonderful staff. I know things got crazy but I kept very calm and Sophia, Nadine and Sara in Labor a Delivery staff showed me next level service and customer care and they took very good care of me during the last minute emergency. Dina and Mindy my duo were also wonderful and took care of me during recovery. They were very attentive and customer focused. The maternity division seemed to use the latest technology which makes new parents feel confident and safe. The hospital food options weren’t horribly bad either; all over good experience. I had a good experience and I will personally let these ladies know.
I have had some stomach problems recently so my doctor sent me to Broward Health in Coral Springs for a gastric emptying study. After 30 minutes of getting checked in and charged I was greeted by a student named Sara. Sara greeted me with a smile and was very positive. She quickly and knowledgeably answered any questions I had and she took away all apprehension I had and made me feel very comfortable. As a patient, Sara is the exact type of person who should be working in healthcare. Positivity and friendliness are something that seems to be very rare these days. Some people live with a half empty glass. Sara is very obviously someone who lives their life on the half full side. She is an amazing student. I wish I had the chance to tell her how happy I was that she was the person who took care of me for the test. She is obviously an amazing parent! Just a happy patient making sure she Sara is recognized. Thank you so much, Steve R.
I have had nothing but positive experiences with the maternity department today. Everyone was nice and helpful. I'm writing a review because I originally didn't want to go to this hospital because of low rating. I understand some people have bad experiences but I really don’t think this place deserves it.
We recently delivered our firstborn at this hospital. Let me start by saying, that every single individual was very compassionate, emphatic, professional, patient and always there to help when a helping hand was needed. It started with Cindy the anesthesiologist going above and beyond to comfort my wife during a c-section and she let my wife now every single moment what to expect and also she took care of me and even reminded me to take pictures of this special moment - all this while doing a perfect job and watching my wife’s vital signs to make sure she is stable. Also the floor nurses where ALL really awesome, especially MinAe, Lucie and Marie who took extra time to teach important tips new parents need to nurture a newborn, and at the same time soothed our anxiety to make mistakes. Extra credit also to the lactation nurses Raven, Nicole and Barbara. To conclude, I can recommend this hospital to everyone to give birth and spend their first 3 days there to make sure you are ready to continue your new journey in a save and prepared way at home.
Beautifully remodeled!! Nursing staff and doctors are soooooo comforting and attentive. All went the extra mile to assure the best possible outcome. New wing feature private rooms, floor to ceiling windows, and spacious bathrooms. Food was delicious and available via room service. Highly recommended and thank you so very much!!!
My son was brought in by EMS and what a horrible experience from the time they came to the unprofessional and uncaring treatment of your staff and doctors in the ER!! Doctor never bothered to even come in room to examine him!! Brought in from having a seizure and had 3 more while in room in the ER, his O2 dropped to 62 and I went to inform someone and they said that's nothing his heart rate hit 212. Was admitted and most of the care there was just as bad! Found out his sodium level was critical 116 and could have went into a coma and even death... What if it was one of their family members? Would they have gotten treated like that??? Never heard anything about the CT and they should have done a MRI of the brain to see how bad it swelled They then raised sodium to fast and then tried to correct that, now this could cause major problems from now on!! If I was you I definitely would go else where. Also BP was 230/132 *Never got to see a Cardiologist, neurologist or urologist
I had the most disappointing experience in Broward Coral Springs yesterday 04/19/2023. If you have any urgent medical issues I wouldn't advise to visit this hospital. When you walk in the staff are dull and seem stand offish not very helpful, or cheerful just yell directions at you. Nothing was happy or memorable about the experience. Especially in the waiting room. I checked in late 7pm and didn't get to the back, in a room until 10pm. Once in the room no one came to check on me. So, 20 min into getting into the room I paged for a nurse because I'm in severe pain crying at this point no one came. Me and my sister two different occasions went to seek a nurse for a blanket cause now I'm in severe pain and I'm shaking from being cold. The hispanic male nurse shows up 20 min later and asked did you call? I told him that yes I did am requesting a warm blanket. The guy nurse came back with a cold blanket. Then another African American female nurse walks in and asks me for my name and says oh wrong patient. I proceeded to ask a question both nurses proceeded to ignore me and walk off. That was the worst experience I've ever encountered visiting a hospital. I had my daughter at Broward Health Coral Springs July 2013 and it has declined dramatically since then. It lacked a lot of customer service and structure. I didn't get service that night I left and I don't think I'll ever be going back. I thought the stories were a myth but now I can see where the reputation is going.
Usually don’t give out 5 stars, but the maternity ward and staff showed next level service and customer care; everyone we came in contact with was very attentive and customer focused. The maternity division seemed to use the latest technology which makes new parents feel confident and safe. The hospital food options weren’t horribly bad either; all over good experience. Shouts to the night nurses.
I am 36 weeks 1 day pregnant, I fell on my stomach and came in to the emergency room at 10:10pm. My urine wasnt scanned and sent in until 1:30am. Also at this time between 1:15am-1:30am I finally had an ultrasound to check the baby and the ultrasound tech Andrea M was very rude. I tried to tell her 3x that she was hurting me and she ignored me. The last time she proceeded to apply too much pressure, I asked her if she heard me say that she was hurting me and her reply was “ Are you going to let me take this last picture or are you opting out?” It was very rude and showed lack of concern for the patient. This is the prime reason why I chose memorial regional hospital to care for me during this pregnancy. But considering I live 1 mile away from this place and I fell, I decided to come to this ER. I absolutely regret it. The only good news here is that my baby is well, I’m able to leave without relying on this place for the delivery. Lesson learned: drive the 23miles to a reputable hospital because you won’t be taken care of for 3hrs here anyway.
The hospital is amazing we had a baby and everyone was great all the nurses were knowledgeable and helpful. The students were unprofessional chatty distracted and do not show any characteristics of having what it takes to be a nurse inconsiderate and do not take serious their role. I asked not to have student nurses but at the end it was like a party of them. All talking and none were in any bit helpful for that reason I gave 3 stars.
