Here's the thing... I want to give Bruce Park five stars.. I crave that for Bruce Park, because all the kids and teenagers who visit are dependant on the few sources of entertainment available in our area. Let's be real though... we're just gonna let the pool structure go to ruin? It can't be gutted and turned into something new, useful, and cool for the kids? A roller rink, laser tag arena, art installation, geocache area, escape room, or even an obstacle course? The golf course is like never open either. Ya'll really need to learn how to put our tax dollars to use in more creative ways. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Almost all of the local kids are strictly victims of circumstance and environment, and if you really want to make positive changes then you should start with the question, "If our children can't learn to find joy in a positive place like the local park, where exactly will they learn to find it?" Sorry. My bad. Just pretend I didn't say anything.
The playground at Bruce park has recently been replaced and the result is a very nice place for kids to play. The many old trees at the park provide lots of shade for reading. There is a baseball field, many picnic shelters of various sizes. During the summer the mini golf is a great way to spend an evening. Also stop by to see the wetzel county farmers market on Thursdays during the summer for great produce, crafts, and more. Bruce park is a great place to stop by for a visit.

The park is nice but, we went to play mini golf and they were closed. It said on line they were open. It would have been nice if they were open at 10am. That's not early and a perfect time before it gets hot.
I live right down the street from this park. So it's my go to park, it's clean and has a side for the little ones and a side for the older ones there's plenty of seats all around the park. Playground: Clean Dog-friendliness: Yes Picnic area: Plenty of picnic tables
Growing up this was my home. I lived right across the highway from here and was there every day as a kid and young adult. Seeing this pool just standing there with no swimmers just breaks my heart. We have enough fast food places, gas stations, and hotels. How about something for the kids in town for a change

Very nice park. Equipment is in pretty good condition. The trees shade the park well in the afternoon. Not uncommon to find other kids there playing. The farmers market on Thursdays during the summer is nice to visit as well.
Swampland around playground, not fit for toddlers to play and I wish they would fix the pool up where kids downtown can go swimplus it's falling apart where someone can get hurt from the concrete coming off. A picnic or reunion would be the only good thing there.
Took the kids mini golfing and they had a blast. Wish we would have had more time to enjoy the brand new playground equipment but I guess there is always next time.
