The Brunswick Ecumenical Assistance Committee On Needs (BEACON) is a local agency serving Brunswick, MD assisting families in need. Call 301-834-9718.
BEACON administers the Brunswick Food Bank, currently located behind Bethany Lutheran Church on 1st Avenue, and the Emergency Relief Fund which helps residents of Brunswick with utility and medical bills, rent assistance, and more. BEACON also coordinates the annual School Supply drive for children in need in the Brunswick feeder district, the Community Christmas outreach, and Thanksgiving Food Baskets. BEACON is a consortium of local churches working in partnership with schools and other agencies to confidentially assist those in need. BEACON members include: Bethany Lutheran Church, Faith Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, Grace Episcopal Church, New Hope United Methodist, and St. Francis & St. Mary's Catholic Church.
BEACON's mission is to work to assist those in need in the Brunswick community as part of the gospel mission given to us by Christ. We help all who come without regard to religious beliefs.
