Found some great electronics, and some nice dishes for the kitchen here. My first reaction was everything here is majorly over priced. I saw some tables and some art for like $800 or $1000. Way out of my price range out, however who knows maybe these pieces are super rare and old, I don’t know. But on certain days they have discounts and I would say that’s the time to go. Amazing staff and everyone is super helpful. Definitely some gems in here.
Very large collection of vintage items and other sorts. Ranging from kitchenware, clothes , plenty of furniture and home decor, pianos , guitars , vinyls , vhs, etc. Though some of the items are pretty pricey, beauty is within the eye of the beholder. They also have a point system. For every dollar spent you get one point. At 100 points you’ll receive 10$ off your purchase. Very polite staff also. Happy Hunting!
Some cool finds, but prices are a joke. Found a used leather jacket for $180? Excuse me? Lol. Most clothes are $30-40. You can find better, nicer stuff for this price range at Crossroads Trading. This isn’t a thrift store.
There is a LOT of stuff here. Too much. Dishes stacked so high and packed in so tightly you can't pull anything out without risking a major tumble. Huge amount of paintings, which is what I was after, but they are filed in so tightly there is no way to look through them. You could maybe find some treasure here, but only if it's on the top of the pile. Otherwise, you risk a huge breakage fee.
Drove a distance to come to this store, and was very disappointed the moment I walked in. Someone needs to clean up this place before someone falls...I found some shoes with no price on them so I asked the cashier how much, they didn't know so they asked someone else who Google lens then and threw some ridiculous price at me. I walked out...not a thrift store
I have a feeling that they rely on Sony studios coming over for last minute props with an unlimited budget bc good lawd these are beyond retail prices. Art is subjective, I get that, let’s see how much they’ll pay for this etc., and they do have the largest supply I’ve ever seen in a T shop, but.... it’s insanity. And on top of that I see simple lamps and things that are literally priced higher than when they were new however many years ago. Location I suppose
This USED TO BE a great thrift store, one of the best in L.A. NOT ANY MORE! They used to have outstanding prices, awesome selection and super staff. That’s before they moved to La Cienega. Their prices now are literally laughable. There are very used items that are priced way over what you’d pay for them full-priced at a high-end department store. I’d seriously like to know who’s making up their price tags - its a joke! Example: $350 for an average lamp, with no shade. Nobody is going to pay that. It’s sad whoever is running this place now is so out of touch with reality.
Extremely out of touch pricing for very mediocre/beat up items coming from someone with over 20 years experience with antiques and clothing appraisal. The responses from management indicate a psychological social disorder may be responsible. Disappointingly, they are unable to take criticism and are hostile towards anyone who points out their flaws narcissist trait instead of gracefully accepting feedback and price items outrageously delusional cognitive decline.
This store is great! The donations they receive come from such a variety of sources so the store carries quite a wide range of items. Found some great clothes and things for my apartment. The prices may seem high and I think can turn people off, but they offer discounts often, and you can negotiate with the store managers. I’ve seen some buyers In there that own other antique stores that buy items for cheap at this store and resell the same exact thing for prices marked 2x higher or more. This is a nonprofit. 100% of the proceeds goes to the drug addiction treatment and recovery center. So you can catch really Good things here priced at lower prices then elsewhere, AND it goes toward a good cause. Shopping and doing a good deed, all at the same time!
I bought some CD's - there were many good oldies. I saw at least 5 copies of "Sleepless in Seattle" soundtrack. The store had tons of stuffs. You could spend a day here. Like most thrift stores, it was pretty unorganized. Paintings and prints seemed pricey. Clothes were not sorted by style or size. This place was decent. But it needed a cleansing!
