We only use the highest quality beef, Certified Angus Beef. Our tri-tip is marinated, hand-rubbed with secret seasoning, char-roasted over open fire, and smoked to perfection. The trip tip sandwiches were perfect. Our group had 3 different sandwiches and all were outstanding. They loaded up the sandwiches with meat and one can really fill you up. The sauces are very good too, sweet BBQ was favorite. A little skimpy on the fries tho. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly with high chairs available Parking: Plenty of parking, but can get a little busy during the lunch and dinner rush Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access, first floor Dietary restrictions: There is food for everyone.
Looking for a happy hour spot in Vacaville? The Buckhorn BBQ has several local beers on tap. For a large beer it's $7 during happy hour. The salads are freshly made and delicious. I would recommend sitting at the bar, so there's no wait. If the date is going good, walk across the street to the nut tree shopping center. Where you can window shop while getting to know each other better. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY
5 stars isn't enough. There are BBQ places that are made because of their sauces. And don't get me wrong, the sauces are good, but the BBQ stands on its own, and it is INCREDIBLE! If you are wondering "should I eat here?" Stop wondering, and go here.
Customer service: Greated with a subpar welcome. I was told they could help me at their cash register with zero enthusiasm. Considering I was the only one in line and about to spend a ton, the welcome could have been better. Asked if a half chicken came on the two meat combo, their response: I think so... No attempt to find out. I asked them to put the football game on one of their 3 TV screens that were all turned off. Was told, oh I don't know how to do that. Had to go to what seemed to be the shift leader to get a TV turned on. Food Quality Food was served cold. My personal preference is for yellow Mac and cheese not white.
This was my first time and Buckhorn BBQ and I was warned that it wouldn't be great and I still chose to go. Upon arrival you pick your table with the host, they'll give you a number and then you can order your food. There are a lot of options on the menu and it took us some time to choose. There were plenty of staff waiting to take our order. We ordered the 2 meat feast with ribs and tri tip side of Mac a cheese and sweet potato fries. Our food came out and looked appetizing outside of the Mac an cheese. The tri tip was good, the ribs were meh, the sweet potato fries were average, and if I return I will not order than Mac and Cheese. It works for some, but not for me. Their specialty teas were on point. They do have a full bar too if you want to have a drink. The atmosphere is family feels. Plenty of people came in parties of 4+ to have dinner. Seems like a really popular place. Recommendation: this place is a Strong Okay. Like I would eat her again, I would recommend it with a warning, but I've had better bbq places and this isn't in my top 5.
Super delicious tri-tip sandwich and reasonably priced! Great toasting bread, caramelized onions and tender tri tip.
First time eating at this establishment. Place was busy but not overcrowded and staffed appropriately. Clean and inviting space. I ordered take away. The Mac n cheese was better then any other I can recall in recent memory. Corn bread good enough but needed another couple minutes bake time and proportionally to rest of meal best described as a corn bread nugget also know as a hushpuppie. My platter had "tritip" and pulled pork. Pork was ok and the tritip was very chewy requiring cutlery to consume. PRO's: customer service, friendly host, space, time of service, Mac n cheese Cons: the food-mac n cheese
This was my first time here. Overall I liked the restaurant and the food quality. I ended up ordering Tri-tip and pulled pork. Tri tip was amazing and loved it. I didn’t like pulled pork and ended up leaving it.
Before you get inside a lady will assign your table. Inside dining is now open. They also have outdoor dining. The place is clean inside and outside, mask is required and social distancing, you pay as you order, there is server that brings your order to your table. You help yourself to get your own sauce, they have a lot of different kind to chose. Everything is in order.
The smoked tri-trip sandwich is really good and the mac n cheese is great. Full bar as well.Food: 4/5
