Amazing place all around. So peaceful and beautiful. Always decorated for each holiday so beautiful. We were there before we got our home for a few weeks. A few 5 rambunctious kids and a dog. Great accommodations. We still frequently stop by for goodies. Myself and my kiddos adore the lodge and all the lovely ladies who work there. Beautiful place, beautiful company!
They're going to require coming into your room every day if you have pets. Total waste of time for everyone involved.
Great location in Aurora and the east side of Denver. Great size rooms and very friendly staff with of course great security. Close to off base restaurants and shopping if onbase facilities are not available. Onbase facilities are less than a 10 min drive away and there are plenty of places to walk around lodging and get some fresh air. Access to downtown Denver is about 30 min away and no big deal with a variety of ways to get there. Also not far if you need to hop on either I-70 or 470. This is my go to place in Denver/Aurora.
Mountain Lodge fit our needs very well. We stayed here for a couple of appointments at a near by hospital. The staff is friendly and the fire place in the lobby and the outdoor fire pit are absolutely awesome!
Not pet friendly! "Pet friendly" rooms are not cleaned well between guests my socks are now black after washing, and the pet policy is at the whim on the manager, who I was unable to speak to for 2 months before I arrive, no matter when I called. When I arrived, the GM condescendingly told me "well I boarded my dogs this weekend," as if that makes it easy to find a boarder for a month starting on a holiday weekend.
2.5 stars! This place serves its purpose. It’s my husband, two teens and myself. Fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, one full bath and living room. I feel it’s over priced and they do not match BAH rates if you decide to stay past your 10 days of TLE. We are waiting for housing and our kids attend the schools that cater to this base. The front desk receptionists have no compassion. I got a call and was told that I have to leave for three days because of electricity purposes and they would provide a statement of non availability. Like really? What is that going to do for me? They had no recommendations, didn’t apologize, didn’t care at all, we just have to go..there’s no complimentary breakfast, the oven takes forever to warm up, and the Wi-Fi SUCKS. You would think that whoever runs this place would actually enjoy servicing our military members and working with us instead of killing our pockets. I’m just mind blown that it would cost me double my BAH to stay here. At least the Army has IHG’s on their posts that will match BAH rates to help soldiers while waiting for housing. I’m army but just PCS’d to an AFB which I was excited about until this experience. Let me NOT go into my situation with housing and their waitlist ‍.
This is only for the retired military and family. Or military personnel traveling through town. So the public isn't allowed on base without specific reason. I only gave 4 stars to the food service because it isn't an all day service. So if you are lucky enough to have payed your dues and gotten on base it's a great place to stay.Rooms: 5/5
The hotel was okay for a last minute reservation. They have a welcoming and cozy lobby that gives off mountain lodge vibes. The front desk staff was very friendly and our check-in was quick. There’s a snack bar to buy snacks and beverages too in the lobby. The pillows and the mattress were too firm to sleep well. It is a feedback and they have to improve on that as someone wrote previously. They should at least give the option to get flat pillows considering how bad thick pillows are for the spine.
The room was comfortable, if not luxurious. Included refrigerator, microwave, DVD player that's right, and a 10-ish year-old 32" Philips LCD TV. Dated, but not dirty or dilapidated. The best feature was the view. My west-facing window offered a fantastic scene of Denver and the Rockies. Very nice lobby with fireplace and large patio. Overall, a pleasant experience.
We've stayed here several times as our daughter and her husband, baby live in Aurora. It is a very nice place with friendly staff and a great little coffee shop in the lobby. The nice fire pit outside is wonderful and a great place to sit in the evening to enjoy the cool air and stars. Note: the best way to find it is to look for the big white radar globes just to the side of it. Otherwise you may miss it as the signage lacks just a bit.
