Presenting world-class artists to audiences of all ages in Bucks County Pennsylvania
Educational Partnership
In 1996, Bucks County Performing Arts Center became partners with the Pennsbury School District’s Pennsbury Partners Program, to bring live arts into the classroom. These performers, who are carefully chosen from all over the country and the world, come to enrich the Arts Education of students in the district. In addition, students who participate in various musical groups are given an opportunity to perform for their community in a beautiful and historic performance space at the Yardley Community Centre.
BCPAC is committed to enriching the cultural life of the community through performing art’s power to communicate and inspire, educate and entertain. It works to raise awareness that a society cannot adequately thrive without the arts. Through live performances, BCPAC seeks to develop new audiences of all ages to enjoy high quality entertainment of all genres. To accomplish these goals, grants have been received from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Comcast, Grundy Foundation, Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation, PennPAT, Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance/5-county Grant, Wachovia, Sovereign Bank, Target, McCaffrey’s and Wal-Mart. This is in addition to the financial support provided by Lower Makefield Township.
BCPAC relies more heavily now than ever on individual residents and local businesses to provide key support, both financially and through generous gifts and patronage. They are also grateful for their volunteers.
