This was my first time trying Buddy’s as i was curious to all the hype. The pizza is alright but can’t say this was my favorite Detroit style pizza. The topping to cheese ratio was good but the sauce was lacking in terms of amount. Some pieces didn’t even have much sauce at all and I love sauce. The crust was crispy as expected so that was nice. I may be back to give it another shot and request extra sauce.
So I don’t know where to start, but Buddies Pizza is fantastic. I feel like I am a weirdo because I love their salads, and their vinaigrette dressing is the bomb. I have got pizza from another place and picked up a salad from here. Pizza is pretty fantastic, but I don’t want you to think I have cheated on buddies with another pizza with their salads. Anywho buddies are the best Suppose you have not had it. Wow, you are missing out!
Buddy’s has gotten larger and larger over the years and I fear that they will soon go from a local pizza business to more corporatized pizza. I can start seeing signs of buddy’s getting more corporatized especially in the quality; more cookie cutter pizzas that look like they came off a conveyor belt rather by hand. The pizza was good, offered great crunch and a loads of taste. Sauce was really lacking terribly, as there was barely any sauce. A solid 7/10 pizza, but I hope buddies continues to stay local and not let the corporate overlords take control.
The changes to this pizza over the last couple years or so have been disappointing. Less sauce and toppings… soggy crust… very inconsistent. I really hope it improves and goes back to being the best pizza in the world
Your staff can’t handle small rushes. Train them better. 50 mins to get a plain cheese pizza. Plus it sucked. Update: after looking at reviews the family that owns buddies should look into the store manager. If a family member is running it, they’re running into the ground.
Jesus.. what a poorly run place. A 12 year old working the cashier with a line out the door. Pizza’s sitting cold and not being alerted when yours is ready so it sits. Did a remake and it was wrong the second time. Paid $10 for an individual salad the size of my fist. Returned it. What a ripoff. Never again. Green Lantern does a much better job.
How much prefer the one on the east side of Detroit and one in Farmington better This is my first time going here and we had a couple of glitches that they were happy to correct where as I put mushrooms on my Motown museum pizza but they corrected it I just had to wait longer. I doubt that I would go back to this location . The pizza just didn't taste the same Parking: Parking was quite tricky because it looks like some little construction was going on and right in front of the store there was some type of I don't even know what you call it That thing that you see on the road with the arrows was in the parking lot
Normally buddy's sets the bar for deep dish in my opinion. I've had pizza from most of the locations. Tonight was my first time having pizza from this Woodward location and it failed the brand miserably. The pizza was way undercookedFood: 2/5
The pizza was not what I was expecting. Buddy's has always been good and satisfying. I was very disappointed. Couldn't find the pepperoni. It was supposed to have 4 meat toppings. I didn't see them
Buddy’s always comes thru with a fresh and delicious pizza. We don’t the Detroiter and the BBQ Conant and both were very good. Staff was friendly. Will go back.
