This is the worst car rental service I have experienced. When I arrived in person, I was told I had to book online to get a car. There was no "in person service" at all. After I booked and got the car, the car was dirty and smelled like smoke. I even found a cigarette lighter in the car with some spare change. The car was also not filled with gas which was the least of my worries at this point. So I booked the car for 1 week and asked the employee what days they were open if I decided to drop off early. I traveled 1 hour one way on a Sunday to drop the vehicle off for return and they were not there on the advertised hours of operation 2-4pm myelf along with 2 others were there at 3. After calling the "24hr customer service" with 2 other individuals trying to drop off too, we were told nothing could be done and they tried contacting the owner and come back another time. The customer service representative did offer 1 free day of rental reimbursement that I did not receive. Steer clear of this business.
This was the worst car rental experience I’ve ever had. I booked an intermediate SUV for Sunday, July 17, 2022 for 4:00 p.m. pickup. I made the booking almost six days out. We arrived at 3:45 p.m. and the location was closed and locked tight with no sign or information as to extenuating circumstances. There were multiple other people there for rental pickups as well who could not get their vehicles. No notifications or contact. Just all of us stuck with reservations we couldn’t pickup and no way to get meaningful assistance or answers. We called the location phone number, which transferred into a corporate line. We were told by a man identifying as operator 81243 that we needed to go on the Budget website and fill out a form. How in the world does that help anyone when they need to resolve the situation then!? He literally wouldn’t say anything else or offer any additional assistance. He even claimed he couldn’t give me his operator number so I could report my experience, but relented after a bit. Eventually, we got tired of arguing with him and called the corporate line. Spoke with a lady named Maggie who was actually helpful, but corporate had no way to contact the store and resolve the issue today. Ours, and multiple other peoples’, plans are now substantially altered with no real assistance that gets us going tonight all the other rental places in Anderson/Easley/Greenville were closed or closing sooner than we could get there; the lone exception being GSP airport which is a good drive away. Just a really awful experience with no answers… worst was that, until Maggie, it felt like no one even gave a darn about what was going on. I would recommend NOT depending on this location if you have plans to keep - no communication and no show is a bad business model.
Terrible on site customer service. Employees are never available during the posted working hours at time of open or close. You can forget a 6pm drop off on Friday even if that is your scheduled drop off time they will have already left. Horrible customer service if you call in with echoing and Terrible connections paired with support personnel who barely speak English. You will be incovienced to have to keep the rental another day and have to come back the following day and they will attempt to charge you for the extra day.
Excellent service. Excellent car. Excellent fuel mileage.
Employees at this location are great especially Claudia and Kinna! They were so helpful and willing to go the extra mile for not only myself but we're very accommodating to other customers that came in as j was waiting. Any time I need a rental in the future I will definitely be using this location.
Zero management skills, the two African American ladies are super rude!
I just returned a rental car to this location and dealt with the rudest person I’ve met in months. Not a good experience.
There’s a manager there African American woman with missing teeth who is super rude. She was yelling at us for asking about price and said if you keep asking questions you’re not getting a car and started yelling at us aggressively and closed the door on us. Me and my friend were shocked how rude and unprofessional she was. We have a video that we are going to send to corporate. She claimed to be the manager but has zero management skills. This woman is dangerous to the community and business because you can clearly see she’s not mentally stable. Unbelievable to know that the owner of this location would hire someone like that. She was making a gun sign and pointing it at me like you see in the picture. I’m going to make a big deal about this.
If could go lower so would, when I got the car 1st thing I did was had to clean it out cause of the filth inside, then apparently something about pet policy but yet have not found one nor did they say anything inside, decided to charge my bank account for additional 240$ without anything said, never will use this place again nor would I recommend this place
BUYER BEWARE. They do not answer their phone. When you get there, the car promised is not available so you get a Corolla instead of an SUV, then when you try to cancel it’s non-refundable. Also, since they don’t have a car wash person on the job, you get a dirty car. So unless you have money to burn, like not getting what you reserve, and don’t mind other’s dirt in your rental, go somewhere else.
