We picked up a car on Saturday morning, drive 10 miles away and onto the highway the car starts shaking. We turn around and drive back to the rental place. They tell us they have no other cars, so we have to drive 1h to Philadelphia airport to exchange it there. Or they could give us an electric car that may or may not be fully charged. When asked how far it would go, I don't know maybe 200 miles. Where can we charge it, well you can download the app. Sure, that inspires a lot of confidence in us. The whole way to Philly we are white knuckling the door handles praying we don't end up in the ditch as the car was shaking so badly. It was so horrible. Clearly the previous driver ran over a pothole or something and didn't tell them as the wheel was messed up and alignment all over the place. 0/10 would not recommend.
My boyfriend and his Dad made a reservation for a van about a week prior. They were told they could pick the van up anytime after 12 and on the day my boyfriend called to make sure he could get it at 12 and they said no only after 3. Slight inconvenience but not terrible. Well they go to pick it up after 3 and they did not have the van they reserved. They tried to give them a box truck but it is not what they wanted or needed. The lady at the desk gave a horrible attitude to my boyfriend and his dad as if they were in the wrong for wanting the van they reserved. They ended up walking out of there with nothing. Staff if rude and very unprofessional there. If there were issues getting the van they should have called and discussed or informed him when he called earlier. The lady behind the desk had such a nasty attitude and is very disrespectful. Will never use this store again.
Avis Rent A Car-Princeton is Awesome! Incredibly friendly staff diligently working away to get you the best possible rate. They are the cornerstone for all of our vacation plans in that region. I can not say enough good things about their staff at that location. They are Great!
Terrible assistant is employed here. She made lots lots of mistakes but never take responsibility. I booked a car via uber. They put wrong name of receipt and charged doubled because of their fault. After that, I asked what happens for this overcharged. Then, she just keep asking to contact customer service. She said she can’t handle it. What a wonderful service here.
The van id reserved was not available. The gentleman there was able to get me into a suitable car. GREAT customer service
1st time I had Car from Avis, It was really gr8 experience, seamless process, cooperative and friendly staff and system.
The car we ordered was not available. The customer representative had terrible skills. She was totally distracted by a personal call. She never gave us a friendly greeting. She told us the make and model of the wrong vehicle. She never came out to go thru the car with us. She gave us the wrong key. My husband had to keep going back inside. We'll see how well we do with the car, but really lacking in customer service.
My wife made a reservation and paid the initial deposit only to find out that no cars were available. We were then forced to cancel our reservation and were told that our money would be refunded. It never got refunded and customer service is very rude and no help. They hung up on me 3 times . Nobody should ever rent a car from this company. I will do my best to tell everyone I know not to give this company business anymore. Good luck Budget, I hope you go out of business!!!
I went to Budget rental in Princeton NJ to rent a cargo van. That was a mistake. But perhaps my biggest mistake was not reading all of the 1 star reviews already posted about this dealership before I made my reservation. I'll consider that a lesson learned. I was just about to go to the dealership to pick up the van when they called and explained that the van reserved for me was now unavailable because they couldn't get it started. So let's think about this for a minute. Here is a dealership whose primary purpose is to rent motor vehicles. You would think that one of their top priorities would be to make sure that every vehicle in their inventor was in top running condition. I guess it could have been worse. What if they did manage to get it started, handed over the vehicle to me, and I wind up stranded out in the middle of nowhere? After trying for 30 minutes to find a replacement they came up empty, so I just told them to forget it! One other observation: Among all of the 1 star reviews this dealership has received so far, not one was responded to by the management either to apologize or to offer compensation for a bad experience. What do you suppose the odds are they will respond to this one?
I rented a cargo van at this location on March 28th for a one day rental with 75 miles with return to this location. I returned the van after they closed with the same gas level. When I picked it up the guy at the location said they d close it the next day. Guess what, now its April 20th and the contract was open till yesterday. I called budget customer service multiple times and guess what this location doesnt answer the phone so even people from the 800 number weren't able to get ahold of them. So yesterday a lady from north carolina calls me and is like you dropped the keys but where is the truck and I'm like I rented this truck at the end of March. So someone after me re rented this truck and took it down to n carolina and my contract was still open. So I asked her if she could help me and if she could get a hold of her district manager and ask him to close the manager. Ok so the manager closed the contract they back dated it, but they closed it as me returning it to that north carolina location even thou a diff person took it down there. Instead of closing it as returning it to the princeton location with 75 miles which should have been like a $120 , $130 rental, but they charged me $572. Can you believe that !? So now I gotta deal with budget customer service again and getting a hold of this location or their district manager is like impossible. I wonder if I get my money adjusted and back. This location should answer the calls for the trucks or dont rent the trucks and cargo Van's at all. Oh and if you're wondering why I dont go there personally, I broke my ankle so I'm not driving otherwise I'd have been there 3 weeks ago.
