Stay away no customer service at all made a reservation for a full size vehicle two months in advance go there and all they had was a Kia rio and I was charged for the full size car after asking I was told they will only take 10$ off check engine light came on so I called and was told to bring it back I explain to them that I was 800 miles away and was told if the car breaks down I will be responsible for it I had a gentlemen contact me about the vehicle and was told the only reason the check engine light is on was because I was putting in the wrong gas I did mention some other things to him such as no windshield wiper fluid the car alignment was off had again I was over talked and told all of that stuff was my responsibility to fix they are a private owner to Budget so there for if something were to have happened to the vehicle budget will not help out at stay away they are quick to take the money but will not fix the problems with the car and make stuff up to push it all under the rug they are a bunch of bullies

Scheduled a rental vehicle two weeks before my appointment and had to call multiple companies in the city. Over the phone I was told I could rent a vehicle using my debit card with a large deposit that would be returned after I bring back the car. I was looking for exactly that because most companies require a credit card on file. When I got there the attendant told me I was not able to rent the vehicle with a debit card and the car I was trying to rent wasn’t even there and I’d have to get another vehicle. I ended up stuck at their location having to get a ride to just end up renting a U-Haul truck. The company needs to have better communication with their call center to prevent this kind of mistake. It needs to go back to IN STORE calls not some robot call center with people who aren’t there.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS OR SAFETY. We flew in & rented the car at night, & stayed in a hotel before our trip continued. In the morning we saw a large bulge on the side of the front right tire. Went to Abilene Budget, and were told they aren't part of corporate sorry, they cannot help us or give us another car. We called Budget Roadside help. They wanted us to drive 2 hours south to another Budget to get a different car. Finally after an hour of arguing they decided we could take it to Firestone for a new tire as they have a contract there. Firestone guy told us we wouldn't have made it 10 miles let alone 2 hours. On inspection, the back 2 tires had wire/cord showing and were unsafe as well. He said literally all 4 tires needed replaced, & he couldn't believe Budget told us to drive it after we showed them the bulge on the front right tire. Our family was in danger. Budget gave us continued run-around. We lost a day of travel due to their incompetence. Had the expense of another hotel night & Budget charged us for an extra day because we were a day late returning BECAUSE OF THEIR CAR. Unbelievable & frightening that they put cars like this out there. NEVER again & we are telling our story to everyone we know.

Great pair of young ladies working here. Diffused a bad moving truck rental experience and I left happy n content. Thank u ladies and again I apologize fir being really irritable wen I turned my truck in was more than glad to turn it in. Bad mechanical, suspension, and transmission issues with loose steering and front end shook while driving. Budget Truck Rental Phine Customer Service I'd completely horrible and a waste of a phone call. Took telephone customer service 3 separate phone calls to find my reservation,  then didn't care or try to understand wat the problem I was havn with the truck. Almost called on the day to take it back bcuz it didn't want to start, then didn't want to go into gear and pops out of gear while driving. 1 1/2 tanks of fuel to drive for 4hrs and truck only half full. RPM sticking between 4k n 5k rpm, zero power going up any type of hill. Whole moving experience including hired movers was a nightmare n I'm glad it's over. We wudv been betr off just going ahead and hiring professional movers bcuz our stuff mite not b broken or destroyed. Always did my own moving n nothing ever broken. I'm completely disabled and can't do it myself anymore

We reserved a truck here on budget and then called in to be sure the reservation went through. We were assured that there would be a truck available at the location when we arrived. We drove several hours to pick up the truck, but when we arrived, no one was there. We had to turn back  and drive 3 hours, costing us a whole day.  It was a complete waste of time and resources and ultimately we had to reserve a truck with Uhaul on a different day at a different location. Extremely upset.

Car I rented has a filthy exterior but ran great and gave me know problems during the 2,000mile trip I made that week. On the plus side.... I paid the same for the fill size car as I would have the economy car. WIN!!

We had a great experience with this Budget. The owner was so polite and welcoming. He picked us up at the airport and he even helped us move our suitcases into the rental car. The car was just okay in terms of the size we needed but it was immaculate and we did not have any issues with its performance. The customer service was definitely 5 Star! We will be sure to use Budget of Abilene on our next visit to Texas.

My experience was not pleasant when I went to pick up my reserved rental. A young man with no personality and less customer service "helped" me when I walked in. In trying to resolve an issue with insurance he had no patience. He canceled my rental as he stated they did not sell insurance. What car rental establishment doesnt offer insurance?? I went outside called budgets customer service and purchased insurance required. Went back in and told him may I please have my car?" WE DO NOT SALE INSURANCE"...we are not corporate"... I walked back out into the parking lot while waiting for another cab called customer service again. Wanted to make sure my card wouldnt be charged. I was told issue would be given to a dept that took care of these things and would hear back in about 4 weeks.  What the hell kinda car rental business doesnt offer insurance???  This one!!!

My mother rented a box truck and car trailer from budget and We had numerous issues with our rental. We were unable to use the trailer due to one of the ratchets being broken so we could not safely strap the vehicle in place, the box truck felt like it was gonna breakdown the entire time, in addition to everything else the gas cap busted when we stopped to fill up before drop off. We informed the female attendant of the ongoing issues and she told us she would refund us the cost of the trailer since we could not use it as well as not charging us the fee for the gas tank not being full all while telling us about the horror stories she had encountered with all the other trucks and trailers they rent out. The next day my mother received a call from the office manager saying that they could not refund the cost of the trailer and would still be charging for the gas. When asked why we were told something else when we dropped it off she told us that the woman we spoke to didn't have any authorization to make those decisions and pretty much blew off everything we had told her broke or wasn't working. The entire experience with this location was a nightmare. The fact that they are completely okay with renting out unsafe equipment speaks volumes, save yourself the trouble and go through anyone else!

I tried to use their website to rent a car. It was complicated, and in the end I couldn't get it too work. I ended up going to Enterprise. Their website was much easier to navigate, and it worked.
