Budget Truck Rental

Listen to the reviews... I didn’t and got so screwed. DO NOT rent from budget. I flew into NY at JFK, took an Uber to this location expecting to pick up my reserved truck. I arrived and they had no truck for me with no explanation. I called corporate and they said the location was supposed to call me the day before letting me the truck wouldn’t be available. They left me stranded with no alternative. Mind you I reserved it a week ahead of time. Do not use budget if you expect a company to fulfill their promised reservations. They NEVER came through in helping to rectify the situation, just left me stranded.

I made a reservation to pick up a truck here with the national 800 number, five days ago. Several times I called the number of this location, only to get a voicemail. I left my number and they did not return my call. I did however get confirmation emails from Budget so I figured everything was OK. This morning, moving day, I drove out there 35 minutes in the wrong direction, because this was the only available truck I could find. When I got there, the place was closed. There were a couple of Budget trucks parked in the lot, but no sign of life. The gentleman who worked in the neighboring business told me that they were on vacation. I will never rent with Budget again.
