My previous vehicle key fell a part and I bought 2 uncut key fobs from Amazon and transferred the chip. Went to Buena Park Lock & Key Shop to get it cut. They did a fantastic job and the cut came out perfect. The customer service was great and the craftsmanship was topnotch. I have had a bad experience with a previous key smith. I'm writing this review a month later and the key works perfect still. I have saved over $300 by getting the car key fob online and getting it cut instead of going to Toyota to do the same. I have found my reliable lock & key smith!
Old school key Smiths in an actual brick and mortar building, proubly the last in the state. Everyone has gone mobile working out of their vans and because of it 65 dollars for the same type of work I got here for 25 dollars, it's a no brainer. Great service, great prices and a nostalgic walk down memory lane when key Smiths actually had a store you can walk into. Oh and if your looking for an old type of lock or safe they will proubly have it.
Great customer service! The man knows his locks and keys ! Definitely a professional! They have been in business since the 1940's or 1950's!
A nice old-fashioned place to get your keys copied. Parking is on the street. You can call ahead to ask for hours and pricing they don't accept cards unless it's a minimum $10 purchase.
They were able to cut a Honda Accord key very cheap. I had been looking everywhere and most of key places couldn’t do it. This guy has been at this place for years.
A classic key shop with hundreds of blanks and lots of different experience available. They've been there for over 50 years, it's a great place to have keys made or work done on locks and safes.
Great Locksmith. Reasonably priced, they know everything there is to know about car keys, locks and anything else that has to do with a lock and/or key. Excellent service and has an old school atmosphere that speaks of it's quality. This is my go to. Support small business and get your keys made, locks and everything else relating to it done there.
The owner I believe Doug did a great and quick job cutting my car key from a spare I brought in when other places, which rely on preprogrammed blanks and a machine, were not able to. He was able to use his knowledge to determine whether the blank I was using would work and checked with me to see if it worked after he cut it. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. There is a reason he's been in business for more than 60+ years. To those who do not bother reading signs when entering, the place clearly states no guarantees like a majority of businesses. Keys are unique, especially if you bring one in. He does not have control beyond what he can provide for his services, just like if you bring your own parts to a mechanic.
It was great they told they can do my key car work so they do a nice job I'm running my car now.
