We had such a fantastic time at the Blue Buffalo Resort! The cabins were so adorable, clean, and homey! There was so much attention to detail with the gifts, taffy, water, bottles, essential oils, etc. The porch was so inviting with chairs and flowers. The staff was warm and so helpful! We love Island Park, and the resort was conveniently located to be able to go hiking, go to the reservoir, or float the river! We will definitely be coming back!
I loved my experience at Blue Buffalo. The resort is so clean and the flowers everywhere are so inviting. I loved how clean and fresh our cabin smelled as we checked in and all the conveniences our cabin had… kitchen, comfy bed, loft for the little ones. LOVED the rocking chairs on the front porch! And the staff is so helpful and cheerful. And so close to Yellowstone! Thank you Blue Buffalo. We will be back! Rooms: Very clean and loved the decor. Sheets are high quality. Nice hot water. Fully furnished kitchen. Nearby activities: Yellowstone about an hour away. Hiking and outdoor activities right there. Floating the River right near by. So beautiful!
This resort exceeded our expectations. We stayed at Blue Buffalo for a family reunion and it couldn’t have been better. The cabins allowed each couple to have their own private space and provided the ideal spot in Island Park - allowing us to satellite out to West Yellowstone, hiking trails nearby and time on Bill’s Island Reservoir. The cabins are compact but have lots of storage space and all the conveniences necessary. We have already decided to come back next year. Apparently they are adding additional cabins and a large meeting space. They earned all five of their stars!
The accommodation was clean and cute. Plenty of space for 6 people to stay. Easy to come and go as you please. Easy check in check out. Slightly far from national parks but lots of other fun things to do closer by! Overall great place to stay. Will be looking to do it againRooms: 5/5
So delighted to find this gem of a resort in Island Park. Such a quaint and clean cabin to relax in at the end of a busy day of activities. Great staff that answered our inquiries about the area; location for our needs was ideal. Comfy bed and LR furniture as well as a full kitchen. We will definitely be back!Rooms: 5/5
Cute, clean and comfy cabins! Everything you need even great bath products in the shower! The staff is super helpful and friendly and do all that they can to meet your needs! Great location as well! We will definitely be back!Rooms: 5/5
We came here as newlyweds for our honeymoon. It was such a cute, clean and cozy cabin. I also loved that it was self check in and that there were no requirements for check out. That made it super simple and was very convenient. You self check in and self check out. However there was some cons. While taking a shower the water would only stay hot for 5 minutes before it goes cold. Because it was only my husband and I there was only 2 of us. But if we had had more people that stayed with us that would’ve been a lot worse. Another con was the wifi wasn’t great and the heater was locked so we couldn’t turn it up. Other than those things we liked it and would probably come back if those things could be improved.
I wish there were more stars to give. What an adorable place - the CLEANEST, most quaint cabins I’ve ever stayed in. And a plus for us - dog friendly. So many special touches…loved all the blooming flower boxes, the immaculately manicured grounds, the over-the-top friendly staff and even a food truck on the property. Even though the cabins are small, there is so much storage. We wish we’d had grandkids with us to enjoy the loft. Two very large TV screens, a full-size refrigerator, wonderful water pressure in the shower a big deal for my husband, oven, stovetop, microwave and maybe most important to me - a very comfortable bed with luxury linens. Our white lab thought the big, bright blue buffalo at the entrance of the property was REAL! It was hilarious - and took some doing to settle her down. We loved our stay - lots of trails to be explored and a perfect launching site to visit Yellowstone. We will definitely be back!!!
It’s is seriously thee cutest tiny cabin I have ever stayed in. I went this route because the hotels in the immediate area doubled in cost from what they’ve been in previous years. I was not disappointed in the least! There were only a few things that I found to be a little inconvenient. The mirror is very far away as the counter the sink is set in is really deep. It would be nice if there was a mirror added to be closer. The toilet is IN the shower. It just added character for me, but was really annoying because I had to slip on flip flops each time I needed to potty, or sacrifice a towel to dry the floor completely after a shower. This is a VERY intimate cabin. I would have struggled as a newlywed staying in it, because the toilet is literally right next to the bed. It was not a bother for me since there’s little left to the imagination for my SO and me. I hope to see in the future the possibility of a pool/hot tub/and maybe even complimentary breakfast. Those were the only things I missed about staying in a hotel. Other than that, I hope to return again year after year! Thank you!
We had a great stay at the Blue Buffalo. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and stocked with everything we needed. The resort is clean, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nearby activities: We hiked the trail along Box Canyon, which is close by.
