Support school gardens in your community!
School Gardens are a unique way to utilize different teaching approaches, such as experiential and interdisciplinary learning, to create an atmosphere of patient, responsibility, and cooperation between students.
School gardens create a better sense of community, build school spirit, and beautify the school grounds.
The school gardens also teach students about healthy eating habits, increase physical activity, and increase a student's sense of esteem and worth.
For all these reasons and many others we, at the buffalo school garden committee, are driven to create and utilize school gardens within all buffalo schools. We want all of the children in buffalo to have access to fresh healthy fruits and vegetables while at the same time learning to care for ones environment and one’s self. Join us in our movement to create beautiful school gardens throughout Buffalo!
Support the development of sustainable school gardens that facilitate academic growth, community building, and healthy lifestyles.
