I never wanted to come here, lol, not against it, just I have too many stuffed animals. BUT when they offered the Axolotl, I was like I need it. IT was truly a fun experience, they were super nice & helpful. I didn't get to use the pedal though, they are still taking precaution due to Covid. Anyways it was fun! I highly recommend it now. They were super busy BUT still nice & attentive. I didn't feel rushed at all. Thank YOU.
I was purchasing 3 stuffies, and a worker not involved with the birthday party going on during our visit was more interested in the birthday party and in the coworker’s last day. She said 1-2 things to my kiddos. It was nothing like visits we’ve had at other Build-a-Bears. The wish that goes with the heart- not even a thing today. We’re here for my kids’ birthdays, and we couldn’t even get the bare minimum. Never returning to this location.
it was great! it was a well stocked store. the employees seemed happy and helpful. not a bad price if you don't go all out on accessories. accessories can get a little pricey but not horrible. overall, we will be back for more bears!
The service definitely differs depending on how busy the store is. When we first went it was on a weekday and empty. So the associate was very attentive and even did a fun handshake with my son when he was getting his birthday bear made. The second time we went it was on a Sunday and I felt as though we were rushed. My other son didn't get as much attention. The great thing that I love is when it's your child's birthday you pay their age. Of course it gets a little more expensive with add ons such as clothing or a song added but still cheaper than getting a character bear! Needless to say they both love their bears!
Is this place ever not a mad house? There were so many people everywhere with kids absolutely pining for their stuffed toy. I do like some of the features that they have including voice recordings that can be embedded in the stuffed animal along with scented pieces. When you add the stuffed animal with all the possible accessories It can get extremely pricey so save your money! It is nice to have kids pick out their own toy and make it unique leave there is with all the different options available.
It's a great place with nice people and LOTS of Good plushies I got an Eevee,Leafeon and Sylveon build a bear from there.Really good quality and the sounds are amazing and adorable It was really fun
Nice shop. One staff person was sitting on the floor blocking people looked at us and did not move from a certain way, so we had to take a longer way to get to what we wanted to shop.
On your birthday month u pay the amount equal to your age for the bear... when my son turned 1 year old I paid $1 for his bear.. my son loves his bear...
Visited the store for my kids to build their first bears. Great experience! Customer service was top tier. Lexy was very nice and so was everyone else. The kids loved the experience and the bears are nice quality.
I’m sorry to share my sad experience at built a bear schamburg mall store I was in a little rush since i was coming from work house fencing it was my sister’s birthday and I think everybody is bringing her makeup and gift cards or stuff like that and I said to me what if a bring a happy birthday teddy bear with some flowers which i get from jewel I went to walmart and target and I couldn’t find what i was looking for So i hear about built a bear store before and I decided to call and see what they have and yes they said they had a happy birthday teddy bear so I asked the lady could you have it ready for me so i don’t waste time going from Arlington heights to schamburg mall and they said yes is going to be ready when you come in I get there and say hi I called earlier about a happy birthday teddy bear and she said yeah just grab the one you like And i was like bit there’s supposed to be one ready for me she left and there was some hispanic lady they were talking in spanish and never asked me if I needed anything or what can i do for you maybe I made a mistake coming to the mall little dirty from work but they looked me like i was asking for money or something Until I ask can somebody help me please And they had the teddy bear with my name ready for me Sorry and have a nice day everyone.
