Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu training in Bensalem, Philadelphia. Traditional Japanese martial arts.
Welcome to Bujinkan Philadelphia Bensalem Dojo. In 2017 perhaps you hope to achieve a long standing ambition of partaking in martial arts training? If so, perhaps we can help.
We accept new students and experienced students. You do not have to be in a specific state of physical condition. The important thing is to have the correct attitude for learning in a co-operative environment. Please contact us for further information if you wish to join.
The Bujinkan itself is an international martial arts organization run by Dr Massaki Hatsumi from the headquarters in Noda, Japan. Hatsumi Sensei is the Grandmaster or Soke of several traditions of Japanese martial arts which he teaches as a system called Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu. He has many high level students and master instructors (Shihan) as well as licensed teachers (Shidoshi) around the world.
The martial arts of the Bujinkan have a long and enduring tradition. In our training we do our best to transmit the knowledge we are lucky enough to possess from our years of training. It is a very deep subject and even after many years of training in traditional martial arts it may feel that one has barely scratched the surface.
One of the most important parts of training is to focus on the basics of timing, distance and body mechanics. In the dojo we spend a good portion of each class developing our basics. We feel that this is a crucial aspect of training that keeps us connected with the founding principles of the Bujinkan martial arts. We also train with our own teacher on a regular basis, attend seminars and make the occasional pilgrimage to Japan to further our perspective. In this way we keep ourselves connected and offer that continuous education to our students.
