It was really fun! The wave pool is a favorite, as was the lazy river. Bring full water bottles. their website is nuts for telling u to bring them empty. You can bring food, would have to go outside fence to eat but they stamp u so u can return. They also have a water station. Their fries were tasty. Playground: Lots of different choices
The only bad thing was that you can't get a weekend to stay there short-term , sold out. Facilities are clean. 24 hour security, it's safe. Nice disc golf course. Miles of bike paths, paved and dirt. Horses, huge rv sites. Very affordable.
Camped a few nights here and found the park had a lot to offer, including a nice water park for our grandkids. Was surprised that the road through the campground was gravel and a little dusty. Great bike trails and if you playgrounds.
Ride our biked every afternoon. So many awesome trails. 2 days ago saw a momma deer and her new born babies.
This place has expanded LOTS since I last visited years ago! Wow! Back then, we spent hours in the wave pool. Now they have more small kid areas, pipes to slide through, and my favorite, the lazy river area. It was 99 degrees the day we visited. Ice water and cups were provided. The wave pool seems stronger than I remember, but part of it is because I've aged. Restrooms: The restrooms were DISGUSTING. Picnic area: No outside food is allowed in the water park. However, you COULD bring a cooler in your car, get your hand stamped, eat in the picnic area, and return to the water park.
Great walking paths that are well maintained, lots of shade. You really feel like you're in nature even though it's about 2 blocks from what is distinctly the suburbs
We had a blast at Bunker Hills. We made it a day trip and had a great time together as a family. So many options and things to do, areas to play in for all ages. The food is good too!
They have a decent size wave pool along with a lazy river. They also have a small wading pool with fun water features for the little ones. Your not allowed to bring outside food pass the gates but they do have areas around the parking lots for grilling or having a snack.
We went to the water park and expected it to be crowded and it wasn't too bad. We went after 4pm for the reduced rate. It was incredibly loud and hectic at the wave pool part. There were too many individual music apps being played by customers. That was horrible, noise wise. The park plays their own music so they shouldn't allow people to play their own. How can you lay there and be relaxed while 5 different types of music are all playing at the same time!!! It was just a garbled mess. We had to leave and go down by the lazy river to get away from it, and we never came back to be in the wave pool which I usually love. The lazy river was nice and plenty of new tubes for all...but all the music playing needs to be fixed.
We make sure to come here once every summer. It's a fun place to be for young and young at heart. Can't bring in food/beverages but can go outside and eat or buy your food there. We were there on a Wednesday and it's was just perfect. We did have to wait for tubes and the slides but not more than a couple minutes. Arrived at 12:00 and left at 7:00. The life guards were nice and on the lookout. We had a great experience and will be back!
