Fantastico. Find me another place in NYC to purchase smoked Burrata and smoked mozzarella di bufala in little packages at great prices. I discovered this place today and will return frequently!
Very good little pasta station! Pick your own pasta shape and your own sauce for only $11!! Definitely recommend heading downstairs and grabbing some food
Buon Italia was very busy today. Not too many locals were doing the purchasing as in the past. The prices are now much higher than they have ever been for everything from dry pasta to imported chocolates. If not for the tourist draw to the Chelsea Market, this place would probably be out of business. I waited patiently to place an order, but the old guy in the suit was pressuring the staff, and they were not too happy about it. I walked away and even canceled my coffee order.
Really liked the place. It has a big variety of italian products including of course pastas, cold cuts, cheeses, bread products, chocolate products etc. I appreciated a lot their cheese descriptions see picture - it was a massive help in choosing a cheese to buy. Overall I would recommend checking this store out if you’re at the Chelsea market.
Remarkable place! It's toward the back of Chelsea Market 10th Ave side. A tip if you're making this the reason to go to CM - come in from the 10th Ave side and avoid the herd of tourists. This place has it all - from candies to meats to pastas to prepared foods and specialities. Also quite a few pastas and prepared foods frozen. Even caviar in a number of varieties and price ranges. They have specialties like rice and olives as well as more exotic items you just won't see anywhere else. Really well done, folks!
Wonderful Italian market offering authentic Italian ingredients and even fully cooked meals. We enjoyed shopping here. You get stuff here that’s not easy to get at NYC supermarkets.
The coffee served here reminds me of coffee in Italy. The cappuccino mostly draws me back. Five stars for that. The shop’s prices are on the higher side though—likely down to the location. It’s not surprising.
I was on Monday September 26 at 2.30 pm. The person who attends in the background in the pasta part attends very reluctantly and very unfriendly. Very rich pasta.
One of my go to supermarket with some of my favorite italian’s products!!! The staff is amazing, super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The Parmigiano, the Italian olives, soppressata just to mention some of them, besides all the pasta and cookies from Italy!!! Check it out for some of the best delicatessen from all over Italy!!!
Wanted to love this place, but treatment by woman at checkout pretty much guarantees my first visit = final visit. After all, there's no shortage of Italian food markets in NYC! I imagine she's over the tourist hoards? Update: Went back last week. First time in years. Checkout people were professional and friendly this time. But the place was kind of empty-- even though Chelsea Mkt overall was teaming. Odd. For me, Eataly has better quality & selection. The Fidi location is less stressful if you can get there.
