Burke Mercantile, founded by Maggie Stoll in 2017, is a lifestyle shop with a fashion forward and eco-conscious mindset inspired by the cool, laid back vibes of the beautiful landscape and inspiring people of California. With a focus on independent designers, sustainable fashion, original and handmade products, and a gender neutral aesthetic, we have created an environment which supports local artists and small businesses, and serves the community while fulfilling the needs of our creative and adventurous customers.
Burke offers product that can be worn or used with ease for people constantly on the move, but that still hold personality and style for all occasions. We believe in independence, exploration, collaboration, and personal expression, and our goal is to provide the necessary goods to support that lifestyle. We view fashion and art on a spectrum of colors, not one that is black and white. We believe in slow fashion vs. fast fashion, focusing on classic, timeless pieces, and product made to last. We aim to provide products for everyone that blur the lines of age and gender. Things for people. Simple as that.
Here at Burke, we believe we are only as good as the community that serves us, and any level of consumerism should be met with philanthropy. Each quarter, we will donate 1% of our profits to a different local or national charity. We welcome any and all suggestions of organizations which our customers support and believe in.
