Imagine it's the 2020s. Imagine 20 years after debit cards became the norm you'd have to pay with cash to avoid 'convenience fees'. Imagine, in an age when you can order anything you want online or with a phone call, having to sign forms in triplicate to get an additional dumpster. If you can imagine a backwards, out of date, utility then you can imagine Burleys. My absolute favorite part: I can't pay my bill without having it. Meaning if I wanted to pay for my Grandmother's bill I would have to go to her house, ask her for the bill, drive it all the way to the city hall and present it. I can't just tell them the address and pay it. Yet I can call Southern Company power and pay on any address I want no questions asked. They will tell you some malarkey story about security, but we all know it's about stupid rules set by people who haven't run even a small business.
This Government office provides a true welcoming service from start to finish. I was assisted by Miss Judy whom was very helpful and detailed with the procedures I needed to follow and simplified the understanding of how the City services work. I feel truly blessed to have been placed in such a family like community. The City of Burley is Outstanding!
