Over the years we have used Burpee—Scott with several different family members, all with different situations, and each time we were treated with warm, caring, dignity, love and respect. Jody & His Staff are compassionate and make you feel like you are family and will do everything in their power to help make a difficult situation in your life just a little bit easier to get through. I have never felt like this business was driven by money, however driven with doing the right thing for the right reason and that to me is hard to come by these days. We wouldn’t use anyone else, as they don’t just talk to the talk, they walk the walk, and we appreciate that in this day and time.
The team at Burpee-Scott, having worked with Brad and Anabelle in particular, were patient and professional. They walked me through the process with understanding and compassionate leadership. I’m grateful to you both for aiding me in honoring my mother. Steve Camp
Burpee-Scott Chapel and Crematory is the best funeral I have dealt with.this has From the beginning of my tragic loss to the final burial ceremony in Andersonville National Cemetery. Mr. Scott and everyone of the staff members were very professional, caring and understanding. Having Reverend Jay Lauritsen made the service consoling.I would like to say that Burpee-Scott Chapel and Crematory are Simply the best for your needs in your time of sorrow.
From beginning to end, this was probably the best experience I've had in situations such as this. Staff couldn't be friendlier, and genuinely care about the process, as well as the family. Mr. Jody Scott is a great and kind man that did far more than I expected after our loss. Thanks to everyone at Burpee-Scott.
No one ever looks forward to handling the details of the loss of a loved one, but Burpee-Scott removed the difficulty from the process by handling every detail compassionately & efficiently while being sensitive to our schedule after the passing of our Mother. Jody had such a kind, soothing, gentle way of interacting and walking us through the process. We are so grateful for him and the organization that worked seamlessly to help our family through this difficult time.
Burpee-Scott was a HUGE help during such a heartbreaking and emotional time. Arranging and planning a funeral for my husband was by far one of the worst things in my life. We cannot give enough words of praise for the professional and respectful way Jody Scott and Brad Kyle handled the planning and execution of our mom's service this week. From the first moment these caring men walked into our mom's house to the last moments of the funeral, the family members were showered with love and support. The most marvelous meal was provided and extra care was taken to make sure our mom was prepared for burial to look like the beautiful woman she was. Every detail, from the smallest to the largest, was handled for us. Sonny Peterman and those who worked with him in greeting and attending were kind, compassionate, and loving as they helped us gather to say goodbye to our mom, both at the church and the cemetery. Burpee-Scott is the most caring funeral home. All they care about is taking care if your loved one and the family. I lost my husband and when we called them they assured us they would go and get him. That he would remain in their care until we got there. My husband is a veteran and was cremated. They collect old flags to be disposed of properly. However they save some and when a veteran is cremated they drape their body with one. I can not adequately express my gratitude nor can I reccomend them enough. Awesome, caring people. Thank you for taking such good care of us.
I cannot begin to express how grateful my wife and I are for Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel & Crematory, and specifically Jody Scott, our funeral director. Our need was not sudden or unexpected, but if it was, I don’t think there would have been any variation in the ease and comfort provided. When I initially began my search, I spoke briefly with Jody on the phone, and he sent me some information to review. A few days later, he was the only one who had followed up with me and exhibited a very consoling, non-pressuring manner, while answering all of our questions and concerns. Unfortunately, the next time we spoke after that my wife’s father had passed, and we were meeting to finalize plans. He customized a package in line with what we were seeking and did not try to push anything on us not required or wanted. The day of the service the chapel was beautifully decorated, and everything went seamlessly. In addition to bringing all of our memorabilia and flowers to our house afterward, they also provided us with a cooler of ice, cups, and a small hospitality offering which was much appreciated. As far as cost is concerned, Burpee-Scott was the lowest cost I found out of all the information sent to me. Although they cost the least, they provided better service and value than another local provider we had to use a few years earlier. I also want to mention that we had no surprise charges that came up afterward as did with the other provider years ago. Though this is never something you’d want to be a repeat customer on, if the need comes up again we will be calling Jody!
