Burton's Food Stores

Burton's is a great locally-owned grocery store that offers people living near AL-77 in Southside a super convenient place to shop for groceries and other essentials. You'll find a wide selection of items here, as well as a small-town feel that you just can't get at the big chain stores. If you're into shopping local, Burton's is definitely for you.

There was a time this store was better but seems to be getting back there. Some prices are too high but probably worth not having to drive to the other side of town. The store is normally kept neat and clean inside and out. Good hometown feel.

It's convenient for me. It's clean. Never a big crowd, that's nice. Pay attention to dates on products, as they may be out of date. Examine frozen items and check for signs of freezer burn.. I stop in maybe 2 - 4 times per month for some produce or something that I may need that they carry. I was a little disturbed last time I went there. There was an older lady that was getting onto a young lady newer employee in front of customers which I thought was out of line.

An okay place but need to update and have more choices

Very clean and friendly. Went around 7 pm. Good lighting inside but parking lot was a little darker than I'd like. Not a ton of products but everything I needed. Even beautiful greeting cards for only $1.

Smaller corporate neighborhood chain store vs Walmart & Dollar General. Supporting the little/local guy chain store. Friendly cashier. Yes, overpriced. Smaller selection. Less variety. Ok for a close quick drive 2 store. I bought and drank an entire Borden's Egg Nog, in one sitting.

Would be zero stars. Everything was old in the store. I purchased Philly sliced steak, and it's green and smells even though it's frozen. I couldn't find a date on the package. Also some go gurt my kids got was old as well. Pitiful

Good selection if you don’t want or have time to drive any further. Great meat selection and best meat around.
