Let me first say that Dr Burwell is a fantastic Doctor, however his staff is the absolute worst. I made an appointment that was over three weeks out! I wrote down 3:30 as the time the lady over the phone advised me , and I asked them to please put me on a cancellation list that I would come in last minute at any time they deemed available. I advised them that I'm living in excruciating pain because of my pulled muscle in my shoulder and my rotator cuff. I called back multiple times asking them if they had anything available and they would rudely state No! Today I showed up at 3:08 and they advised me my appointment was at 2:45 and they couldn't see me. I again advised them I was in excruciating pain still and she said there was nothing I can do and tried to give me another appointment for September 15. I advised her I wasn't even 20 minutes late according to her time, and she's smart aleck Lee said we don't even have appointments at 3:30. Absolute worst place on the planet to try to get help. I guess I will just live with the pain like I've been forced to do for over 3 weeks.
Annette from Dr. Dudley Burwell’s office has left 2 voicemails on my phone, yesterday and today, stating the patient’s first and last name and the name of the clinic from which she was referred. My voicemail greeting clearly states my first and last name which is nowhere close to the patient’s name. They obviously had the wrong number yet continued to disclose information on the voicemail. If they are this careless with patient information and lack attention to detail such as my greeting clearly stating a different name than the patient’s, it really makes you wonder what else they won’t pay attention to.
I am so incredibly grateful for Dr Burwell , and all the staff . Not only is Dr Burwell a top notch Dr , he also has an amazing bed side manner. When he visited me prior to my hip replacement surgery, I knew I was in the best of the best hands. I truly believe that has much to do with my amazing recovery. God bless Dr Burwell, and the entire staff , always .
Dr. Burwell did two hip replacements for me in the past six months. He used the anterior approach for both. This was performed expertly in my opinion because my recovery was extremely fast. My physical therapists were all very impressed. Dr. Burwell has been very pleasant from the first visit until the last check up. He took much time to explain the procedure to me and to review my x-rays and my health. He wasn’t pushy about surgery therefore when I made up my mind to have it I was more than ready. I can’t say enough to recommend Dr. Burwell. He is absolutely the top surgeon for your orthopedic care.
Worst experience, had to call literally 3 days back to back to even get an appointment. After I got there I waited over an hour to be seen, everyone that came in after me was seen before me
Dr Burwell is a brilliant surgeon and we are very thankful for him. Both of my parents are patients of his and have had multiple replacements with him. They both had no pain after surgery, even during the weeks afterward. I cannot praise him enough. Members of his staff are very efficient and professional . As long as he is performing surgeries on the Gulf Coast, we will be his patients!
Terrible treatment of my mother. So sad. Basically left her in the hospital and didn't bother to check up on her, months after surgery. Makes me physically sick to see her in so much pain.
Family member had a total hip replacement done last month and it went beautifully! He had surgery around 8 am and went home at 5 pm. Everything from pre-op, to surgery instructions, infection control protocol, and time spent with us answering questions as well as his bedside manner and all of his staff- all was above our expectations! Surgery was amazing, PT was great, can't say enough about the whole procedure. HIGHLY recommend Dr. Burwell!! Thank you!
After years of pain and suffering, I had rotator cuff repair surgery on my right shoulder, six months later, I am pain free and have full use of my shoulder. Dr. Burwell is professional, kind, concerned. I have recommended him to family and friends and continue to do so. Dr. Burwell, I cannot thank you enough!
Such a nice professional man has lots of experience in all. His nurses are extremely.nice,compassionate and really rake the time with you. Also everyone is neat well groomed and with a smile including up front staff and x-ray texhnicuan.
