Millwood Mill is a historic water-powered mill built in 1785 and operated until the 1950’s. It was donated to the Clark County Historical Association and restored. This mill still operates to this day and it is a museum. There isn’t much to see here, not worth driving out to see, but it is a nice, welcoming place to have social gatherings. Do make sure you find out when you’re able to see the inside, we went and it was closed. There are bathrooms and picnic tables.
We're always sure to stop at The Mill whenever we're in this part of Virginia. Perfect for scenic pictures with great places to eat right across the street. We lucked out on our last stop. There was an art exhibit inside The Mill on all three floors. Such a great, relaxing way to spend part of our long weekend. We're already looking forward to our next trip.
Excellent staff. She was very kind and gave us a private tour. She was very passionate about the mill. Lots to learn There. There is also a great historic market across the street with many local items. The local milk in glass bottles was 5 stars for sure.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5

Great place only been there once but the people were super friendly. I have also talked to them at other events I'm hoping I can catch them open next time I'm there cause I hear they added somethings
Pretty good not much to see there but very educational.
Great old grist mill. Try the red cornmeal, makes Great cornbread.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
Really cool place filled with history! Wonderful place to picnic out back and they even have art on display form time to time! Worth a visit!
Very nice. We were fortunate to be there when they were getting ready for an art show. They let us in to look around. Inside mill ... never saw one before. It was working.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
I got here at the end of the day so all demonstrations were done but the mill itself was very interesting. Well done displays explained its construction, renovation and operation. Beautiful setting with picnic tables. Small town but it has several antique shops and a general store so you could easily spend half a day here. Most things close at 5 though.
