We are Bushel and Barrel Ciderhouse, Kitsap County’s first established Cidery. While the craft breweries are bustling with quality and unique brews, there was a void in the cider community that the Bushel and Barrel Ciderhouse was happy to fill.
At Bushel and barrel Ciderhouse, we have a vision that extends beyond the craft cider we produce that we want to share with the community. The mantra at Bushel and Barrel Ciderhouse is “Micro Cidery... Macro Cause.” What this means to us is that we do not want to be just a business that just merely exists, but a vessel to provide community development and an avenue to help local citizens in need. We plan to implement a business model that produces a series of ciders where a large percentage of the profits go to local charities and projects. By re-investing our profits back into the community, we hope to create awareness within our circle of influence that every small action can create exponential gains, and ultimately cause change on a macro level.
We are taking a responsible approach to growing the business in order to ensure that no missteps will hinder our vision of becoming a self-sustaining business that is able to continually contribute to causes throughout the community. To do this, we plan to implement growth in phases:
Phase 1: Ciderhouse is fully permitted and will provide local keg sales and distribution.
Phase 2: Ciderhouse has bottles and kegs for sale locally and will participate in Poulsbo farmer’s market and some special events.
Phase 3: Ciderhouse tasting room open to the public. Bottle and keg sales available and will participate in Poulsbo farmer’s market and special events.

Vision Statement: To produce a finely crafted cider that resonates with the consumer in more than just quality of product, but sincerity of purpose. By reinvesting profits back into the community, a change for the betterment of the community can occur on a macro level through the simple vessel of a uniquely crafted, pressed and fermented apple.
