I stopped in one day while I was working after MONTHS of swearing I would eventually. I bought a chocolate peanut butter pie, lemon bars, and a slice of strawberry rhubarb crumble. I have never had pie so delectable! The chocolate peanut butter was so fluffy and silky. The strawberry rhubarb had so much flavor and every bit was a treat! The lemon bars were definitely worth picking up too. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. And after that you can head to the Catty Corner Cafe right down the street!
Best pies in all of Leesburg and it’s pretty much all they do. Moms offer everything from seasonal pumpkin to key lime and Boston cream plus every fruit pie you can imagine. Our favorite is the apple with pecan crumb top - delicious! Prices are reasonable too. The shop is very small and they only allow two groups at a time inside. The staff are very efficient though, so even if you see a line chances are you won’t be waiting very long. They do offer a few types of cookies and muffins and they also sell their pie by the slice.
You have to try this place!!! Found this place on our way to an event, we are from out of town, and glad we stopped in. We tried several different types of cookies but the pie, OMG THE PIES! Took home two whole pies, apple and strawberry rhubarb, because the slices were heaven.
Yummm, you can't drive by and not stop in. We got a variety of items to sample, you know purely for research. They were pretty good. My husband and I split: Raspberry filled heart cookie that was excellent. Sorry don't remember the name but you can't miss them. They are messy with power sugar but worth it. Next was the chocolate coconut macaroon. Again excellent and probably my favorite. Lemon bar, usually a favorite for us but it was missing a lemon punch. Tasted like artificial lemon and not real lemon citrus notes. Buckeye, who doesn't love peanut butter and chocolate. For me I couldn't eat my half as the ratio was off me for me a bit of too much pb to chocolate.
The BEST pies in the area, hands down, game over. So many different varieties/types, all of which are packed with diff flavors that complement each other well. Today I got the pumpkin pie and the apple crumble with pecan crumble on top, and as you can see in the photo, the dog loved it! As did I. Great pies at great prices.
We stopped by moms on our trip through leesburg. We went back again before we left it was that good. We got the Apple, cherry, blueberry, blackberry and another full apple pie not all at once don’t worry. All were fantastic the crust is so buttery and flakey, the filling ratio is perfect and fillings were all fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back.
This review is based off a pecan pie my family was gifted. OMG! We are from the south, grew up in an area surrounded by pecan orchards and have had LOTS of pecan pie. Theirs is the absolute BEST pecan pie we have ever had. Every part of it was delicious, the crust, the filling and the pecans. Yum yum yum!! We plan to visit in person very soon!
I had the pleasure of trying Mom's Apple Pie Bakery's blackberry crumble pie and I must say, it was absolutely delicious! The crust was perfectly flaky and buttery, and the blackberry filling was sweet and tart. But the real standout was the crumble topping - it was perfectly crumbly and packed with flavor. I have to give a shoutout to the friendly staff at Mom's Apple Pie Bakery as well. They were so welcoming and helpful, and made my experience there even more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Mom's Apple Pie Bakery, best pie around! It's a must-try for anyone in the Leesburg area!
Love the small town feel of Leesburg. This iconic bakery makes fresh pies and desserts daily. Not a great location for parking, but biking there from the W&OD is more enjoyable anyways. Only small dig is the cost of the pies.
We came upon this bakery while visiting Leesburg, on vacation, several years ago. We still talk about their pies, to this day. Well, we had the occasion to attend a wedding, nearby, this past weekend, and made it our mission to visit. Unfortunately, it was the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving, and the line was out the door. No matter! After a 20 minute wait in the sunshine, we got our pie. We bought the blueberry with the crumb crust...amazing! Too bad I live 5 hours away, otherwise we would be 50 pounds heavier!
