Butler Farm Show Airport

The farmshow used to be great but too many radical got to be in charge. They banned dogs and made everyone get into a 1,000-person line to buy derby tickets.

So much fun. This event is a "can't miss" in my book. I never thought much about cows but when you have an opportunity to see them up close they are very beautiful animals and have pretty faces and generally have very sweet temperments. The bull in the picture is a swiss breed. I didn't get a shot of the cows but they really were so sweet and gentle. Horses are also very beautiful but the very first one I got close to took a little playful nip at my leg. It was funny. You will also have a chance to see goats with their kids, geese, ducks and bantams. There were not pigs there. They had rabbits but I didnt check them out. You WILL HAVE FUN at the demolition derby. Also the amusement rides are free with admission. The fair food is great and not overpriced ie corn dogs and cotton candy for $6. There are also a few vendors who provide very good quality dinners. I had meatloaf mashed potatoes and gravy after the derby and it was just what I wanted. Go. You will have a blast.
