My sister and I first time here. Loved the atmosphere and the interaction with other customers very friendly. The pecan sticky bun and coffee was amazing. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners at the cheese festival at the expo. I will be back to try the biscuits that looks delicious and other items on the menu.Food: 5/5
I went in for brunch with my mother and my partner. We ordered two lattes and one tea, the lattes came out about 10 minutes after ordering. My partners tea didn’t come out until the first plate of food arrived about 20-25 minutes after ordering . My food came out first, my mothers and my partner food didn’t come out for nearly 30 minutes later I tried to wait to eat with them but then of course my food was getting cold. Everyone around us was getting served even people that came in after us. The food was plain. We ordered a banana pie and it is literally all whip cream and a thin layer of banana cream. I had the Bennys plate, my partner had the sausage sandwich and my mom had the works. The service was terrible they never came to check on us not once we had to ask them for napkins and things that we needed but seen them checking on others. I do feel some discrimination went on here. I will never go back here again.
Shared a lovely breakfast here with my son today. They were quite busy but we were able to sit right away at the bar top. It reminded me of sitting at the counter in the old diners down south. We had a great view of the bakers in action and we got to chat with the folks seated next to us. The best part was we were able to ogle each other's food!!! We shared a French press of coffee and tried to make a decision from the menu. Lots of awesome options here, dang!!!! We ended up getting the benny and breakfast salad. Both were killer good. I substituted my biscuit for the cornbread and dang, again!!!! Most likely the best I've ever eaten, great job, ya'll! Service was awesome, staff was super friendly and we finished up ordering a bunch of bakery items and more cornbread to go. Thanks for making our morning so great!
What a wonderful recommendation from a friend! Please stop by! All breakfast dishes were scrumptious. Including our friend's vegan option. The wait staff suggested the French press when we all ordered coffee. We took them up on it. The coffee was delicious!! Service was excellent. Great diversity in the menu.
Laid back café and scratch bakery. Plenty of indoor seating, patio or fast counter check out options. Food was top-notch.Food: 5/5
Been coming here for years - I've never had something I didn't like. The veggie hash plate will forever have my heart though winter offers the BEST veggie variety. Their Buttercloud Benny is a close second...as is their French biscuit plate with goat cheese and strawberry sauce. This is always a destination when out of town guests stay over. PS. They have the best hot chai latte! Minimally sweet, spicy, fragrant. Delicious!
This place is a pretty decent choice for breakfast if you're looking for good food and quick, non-intrusive service. There were a lot of things I wanted to try but I settled on the "Buttercloud Benny," their take on Eggs Benedict and a side of Veggie Hash. The taste was pretty good but there wasn't a lot of flavor complexity. The biscuit texture was perfect but there was something missing, flavor-wise. No hot sauce on the table but that might have added what I was looking for. The coffee was pricey and not bottomless refills cost $1, but very high-quality. Overall, I'm glad I went but I'm sad that it cost so much for food that wasn't super original.
2020: Highly recommend. We brought in a coupon that turned out to have been printed without the bakery’s permission, and they gave us some pound cake for free to make up for it. 2024: the service was terrible today. I waited a while before anyone came over to seat me. The server seemed frustrated when I didn’t offer a drink. After bringing my food, she never checked on me. I had to flag someone down to pay for my meal. I ordered a biscuit and gravy. The gravy was warm, not hot, so it was quickly not very enjoyable to eat.
Great food but what’s going on with the prices? : Extremely pricy for what it is. I visited my son in Medford from San Diego, Ca which was recently ranked #1 most expensive city to live in but I’ve never paid $16 for breakfast per person in San Diego. Coffee was very rich so I only went for coffee while I stayed there and got breakfast somewhere else.
Stopped for a late breakfast today around 11 a.m. and was quite busy inside. Save room for their pastries from the front counter! 2 of us were seated and provided water quickly, with tatsty coffee soon after. Food came out quickly. I had a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwhich, which had tomato and I believe arugula, which was delicious and filling. The biscuit was fluffy and tasty. My partner had a similar sandwich and said it too was very good. The wait staff was friendly and provided service with urgency. Will definitely go back. The front counter had pastries and cakes that looked amazing, but we were too full to try them. Until next time.
