Butterfly Club

Day 1 of my Wisconsin supper club prime rib tour... Must say for all the hype about Butterfly Club I'm very disappointed... Service was some young kid who brought very nice rolls with butter NO side plate OR silverware till after the salad came, yes I had to look at my salad, also no salt or pepper. The salad was good then the NOT medium rare Prime Rib came still no steak knife sent it back. The replacement was correct still no steak knife after all this frustration not really very good. Since my pan fried chicken the other day with a REAL server was excellent I think I may give them another chance but maybe not, lots of money for this type of service

A tasty glimpse of dining in the yesteryears that won’t break your bank. Dinner portions are sizable, tasty and the servers are top notch! They even have chicken livers as a special on Sundays!. A fun large bar with friendly bar staff and large outdoor space makes me wonder how this supper club got started during the prohibition years…answer…it started in 1924 as a Tea Room!

I went there on a busy Friday night. Our party of 6 were seated outside on the patio. I had a large prime rib. Excellent meal. There was a live band indoors too.Food: 5/5

Had reservation for 7:00. They didn't have us on the list. Told if we waited we would be seated around 8. It was 845. I don't eat a heavy meal that late. So just ordered an appetizer. There were many unhappy people due to the wait. Spoke with a customer who said her food was terrible. We won't be back. A positive...the music was good.

If you are a regular at the butterfly club it's because nostalgia and hope keep you coming back... we made reservations over a month ago for 6 pm and were not seated until nearly 7 pm. We sat in the bar while we waited for a table. The bar staff was delightful and our drinks were well made. The bar was the highlight of the night and I'd return just to have drinks and interact with the bar staff. We were seated in the back by two lovely older groups that I enjoyed interacting with. We went Valentines weekend and ordered off their Valentines menu. I got the crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer 12$ and my other half got the shrimp cocktail. I got only one mushroom not "mushrooms" but they do use real crab in the stuffing mixture I'd give it a 5 out of 10. BTW their online menu list crab stuff mushrooms also... for only 9$ the shrimp were large and tasted fresh in the shrimp cocktail. For entrees I got duck in orange sauce, seafood bisque and a baked potatoe and my other half got a ny strip with shrimp skewer, French onion soup and augraten potatoes. My other half said his steak was cooked well but lacked flavor, the shrimp were delicious but his potatoes were oily and not made in a traditional augraten cream and cheese base. His French onion soup was the worst he ever had and he orders it at every restaurant we go to that has it. He said it was basically just beef broth and cheese. My seafood bisque soup was not edible to me. It was extremely fishy tasting and it had flakes of fish and scales in it. The orange duck was cold when it came out and the skin was overly chewy. The baked potatoe was good and the sour cream comes with chives mixed in. The server did offer to bring me something else since I didn't like my meal but at that point I was ready to leave. I'm glad I had a gift certificate or I would have been upset that the total for what we got above was 107$.

Stumbled upon the Butterfly and had a great time. Plenty of menu choices, fair prices and knowledgeable, personable wait staff. The bar is vast with live entertainment that contributed to a very good night.

Our experience Saturday was just as good as last time. We had a nice tweak also. We were unknowingly seated at a table known as the honeymooners table. Near the end of dinner an older employee, dressed in chef's attire, stopped and asked if we were honeymooners. We said we were celebrating almost 3 decades of marriage. About 2 minutes after he left out table, he came out and gave us. Cheesecake with a strawberry topping and wished us a happy anniversary. Amazing. Loved it. Loved taking in the live entertainment after the meal. Meal was great, I had grilled scallops and the wife has filet. Both were great.

It started with being greeted by a very nice lady, we were seated immediately ahead of our reservation. A nice young man brought us a roll basket, we had a nice dish of warm butter pads on our table. What an amazing dinner and drinks! I had the roast turkey dinner, and my girlfriend had the steak and shrimp. Everything was spot on. The staff was awesome and timely. I would recommend the Butterfly Club if you would like great food, drinks, and service! Prices were very reasonable for a supper club. We will be back very soon. Parking: Very spacious!

Early dinner on a Wednesday night -- busy, but no wait party of 2. We had an appetizer, entrees with salads, drinks, and ice cream for dessert. Everything was good, except my pork chop was a little overdone and tough. Fine service except our server forgot the legendary bread basket! About $50 each, including tip.Food: 4/5

Excellent service, old world atmosphere and classic American cuisine. Food was a bit saltier but delicious none the less. Portions are big and prices are low.
