Buy the Bead was started in 2003 by Jon and Brenda Willette. Brenda had been beading for several years and became frustrated with the quality and selection available locally. She tried shopping on-line but the pictures of beautiful stones displayed online were rarely what she actually received. The high prices plus shipping charges and hit-or-miss quality was just not worth the effort.
