Decided to register at Buy Buy Baby after my sister recommended them. Everyone here was so knowledgeable and friendly. Not to mention, the selection is amazing! They have everything. The store was neat and clean, including the bathrooms which is a huge thing for me. The cashier that checked me out, I think her name was kate, was such a pleasure to deal with. Seemed generally excited when I told her we were expecting our first.
Spent almost $400 yesterday at this establishment. Went in today to exchange a size 4 shoe for a size 5. NO EXCHANGES! NO REFUNDS! Cashier was friendly & went to ask manager if we could exchange. Manager was RUDE & her customer service skills need an adjustment! Will NEVER shop or recommend this establishment again! Buyer Beware!!
My experiences at buy buy baby have always been wonderful. After a long day at work I decided to stop and get some willow pumps because I had ran out and needed them for the night/next day at work. It was 7:10pm when I walked in knowing they close at 8 but I knew I wouldn’t take a long time. When I was approaching the register, the lady at checkout was literally harassing me to hurry up. I was looking at the little things they have by checkout. Once she was ringing me up she was so upset that I wasn’t answering the questions on the credit card machine fast enough for her. It was something I had never experienced, I don’t know how such a bitter person like Bridgette can work for a baby store. So sad.
My wife and I went in the other day to start a registry and had a good experience with the first lady who helped us. She was very personable and kind. I do not recall her name but she had grey hair and wore glasses. After about an hour of scanning items for our registry, my wife had gone to the bathroom and I was approached by another worker with short black hair who also wore glasses. She asked if I was finding everything okay and then proceeded to ask if I was sure about scanning a pink backpack. I let her know we're having a daughter and she said "well nowadays it can be any color." I didn't say anything at the time but I thought it was very unprofessional how she inserted her personal politics. Her opinion was not asked and I had told her I was finding everything okay so it was unnecessary for her to make that comment and honestly made me want to leave the store ASAP.
UPDATE: The store is permanently closing! This is why you can’t return or exchange anything now so beware! The mall is being torn down and they’re closing the Buy Buy Baby store too. I’m so sad to see this store go, especially since it’s the only one in Tucson! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Great store with a large selection of baby items/clothing/furniture. They even have a small maternity section stocked with Motherhood Maternity clothing. Coupons and discounts are easy to get your hands on making it even more worth it to shop here. They will also price match. The staff is also very helpful and knowledgeable.
We are from out of town and wanted to get a high backed booster seat for my 6 year old, but wanted to check them out in person instead of order online. We went to Target and they wouldn’t come with me to take one of the display seats out to my car to make sure it fit. They said I had to buy it and return it. Well they don’t tell you that they can’t re-shelf it once it’s opened, even if in the parking lot. They would literally destroy every returned car seat and can’t resell it. Understandable but annoying that they wouldn’t let me use the display. So I left and called Buy Buy Baby, which was about 25 minutes away but they were so nice and knowledgeable over the phone and said we can absolutely use a display seat to try out in our car, come on over! Everyone in the store was super nice and friendly and always asking if we needed any help- they let us try out as many car seats as we wanted in our car. Highly recommend this company, and especially this location! Totally worth the drive. Thank you!!!
After shopping at this store for my son religiously, who is now almost 2 years old, I kindly asked if a 20% off 1 item coupon could be honored that ended less than 24 hours ago. The cashier asked the manager if they would honor and they said not without a barcode. Really!? A measly 20% off 1 item couldn’t be honored because I didn’t have the barcode. It was showing in my app but the manger didn’t seem to care. Pretty sad since this is one of the only baby stores in Tucson that offers everything that you need and more. I’ve spent loads of money here and hoped I could be accommodated just this once.
Damon was a huge help! He took the time to educate and answer all of our questions in regards to strollers and travel systems. As first time parents we need all the advise we can get. Will be back for sure!
Staff does not know what 6ft means. Just left buy buy baby and they were following us in the store. The woman with the heavy accent was right next to my sister and her baby when she should have kept a distance for our safety. I work retail and one should never basically walk someone out of store. If they were suspicious of us they should have customer services from the beginning. Yet they waited till the end to offer us help, which we did not need any. Overall horrible service and they need proper loss prevention training. Making a customer feel uncomfortable is never ok, and with COVID they should know to keep a distance. You can def see if someone is stealing from 6ft.
I use to love Buy Buy Baby. However, two days ago my husband bought me the belly bandit since we just had our baby girl. He was able to use one of their infamous coupons to save money. Yay! He got the wrong size, so went back the next day and asked for a return. They said they do not do returns only refund. So ok. He did a refund. He got back what he paid for the item at the discounted rate. Then went to purchase the correct size only to be told he would have to pay the retail price not the coupon price. He had just wen in the previous day and had the coupon he used and asked to use that coupon. They said they couldn’t and he would either have to pay full price or get another coupon. And they couldn’t do the transaction as a return. So needles to say we paid $75 for a belly bandit that should have be $25 with a coupon. But management refused. Poor customer service and I will be avoiding Buy Buy Baby.
