I was at Eyeglass World and Buybuy Baby is 2 blocks down. Had planned to visit the store but we learned as we approached it that it does not exist. The sign has been removed off building and store is empty.
The employees were so incredibly rude. I’ve never been somewhere where I felt like I was bothering someone so much by simply asking a question. My husband left our buggy where we thought was an appropriate place to leave it, thinking nothing else and the employee sarcastically says “we’ll get the cart for you” they all start laughing and one employee proceeds to say “oh I hate people”. Well fortunately enough for her we definitely will not be back.
Going to get baby stuff when saw that it was TAKEN DOWN! Everything in there was Gone! It was vanished! Sign torn down leaving dots of the Logo & no cars in the parking lot. Only things left were the baby posters on the windows & the lights on in the store. Everything else gone.
We purchased a crib for our first baby and a few parts was missing. The staff and manager was very apologetic to my wife, even tho it wasn’t there fault for the company’s mistake. They reached out to the company on our behalf and requested the parts for us. They told my wife it would be 8 weeks before we received our parts due to shortages. This was cutting close to our due date. I personally was very angry so I called the store and tried to be very polite just to get some answers. To brag a little I felt like I did very good at being nice even tho my first special moment of putting a crib together was ruined due to the lack of the parts. Again the staff was extremely nice the manager was extremely nice and even offered to reach out to other stores to see if they had any of the parts we was missing. Not even a week later the company expressed shipped the parts to my front door. What a blessing, and I got to enjoy putting my first crib together. So even tho we had a little hiccup I would give this store a high rating for being very helpful and the company as well for fixing the mistake very quickly.
Visited to pick up a 4 in 1 Graco I had ordered. They hadn’t created my order I stopped by since I was on that side of town and although the order was just placed, they were able to go ahead, grab the item and process it for me since I was already there. Definitely a one time thing as I wouldn’t show up before confirmation but I had an irritated toddler and they were accommodating. The staff carried the car seat out for me as well.
We went there and asked a staff to help us in setting up a babyshower list. She seemed to be very annoyed by the presence of us and told us to go browse the store. She was browsing the web at the time and we were the only customers there. We asked for detailed help for chooseing a stroller and she said you can find all the info on the labels. Why on earth would you have a section dedicated to help people to set up a babyshower list if you don't care?
There is one employee at this store that consistently gives it her all. The selection of goods is great for babies yet they never have many employees. Yet, there is one employee who tries hard. She should get a raise.
It does have a good selection and I'd prefer to see things in person before I buy, but the experience of trying to order nursery furniture through them was VERY frustrating. It ended with me cancelling my entire order and them telling me they did me a "favor" by cancelling and refunding an order that was never shipped, and at best it might ship 1-2 months AFTER our baby was born...We initially ordered 5 months prior to my due date Their customer service from a manager was the worst I have experienced. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else.
I did my baby registry through Buy Buy Baby and basically half of my items were out of stock the whole time.. makes it difficult to have a registry. Not sure why they can't keep enough in stock, but I would not recommend having a registry through them.
Purchased a baby crib that cost over $319.00 plus tax. The only available coupon 15%off was online, on my cell phone. I was told by the customer service representative that any purchase over $39 included free shipping cribs HAD to be ordered, don't stock in store. After she rang up the purchase, there was an additional $20 shipping charge. Naturally, I inquired about the additional so-called "surcharge" for shipping. She said the extra shipping charge was because the crib was HEAVY. That used to be classified as a tactic known as "bait & switch," which was illegal. Not shopping that store again, ever! Over priced, and RUDE!!
