Incredibly frustrating experience trying to buy a car seat. First time I was there, I waited about an hour, and the “car seat guy“ never showed up, and apparently no one else in the store was able to help me. I was with my one year old. The second time I went, after the car seat guy texted me some options, I went back to the store with my son. But the staff will not come out to your car with you, so I had to carry my one year old in an out of the store with the different car seat options while I tried them. I got so frustrated I ended up just leaving. I really needed help, awful customer service.
If I could give this store 0 stars, I would. I ordered a toddler guard rail online the website said 4 were in stock at the Ballwin location and to pick up the next day. We drove an hour and 15 minutes to pick up the guard rail on Monday, just for them to tell me it was canceled and didn't I see the email? I did not have an email, I did not receive a phone call, and worse of all, they told me that I had to call them on Tuesday to special order it why would I need to call rather than be in person for a special order????? That makes no sense. So, I called on Tuesday to "special order" and they told me, "I have no idea who you talked to but you can't get that guard rail right now. You can maybe get it in August, but we have no idea, so you just have to order it and hope it shows up." Which is fine in today's pandemic world, but THEY WERE EXTRA RUDE. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with retail in a long time and that is saying something in today's world. I would avoid shopping here if at all possible. They are unhelpful, not eager to help customers out, and on top of everything else, very unfriendly. I mean how hard is it to just be nice? Even half way nice?
Ordered a car seat for store pick up because they’re advertising 20% off if you use the new curbside. They cancelled our order for no reason and stick charged our card. When I called, the horrendous woman who answered had an attitude and gave me no explanation. Learn some customer service and figure out your issues. Glad Target doesn’t have these issues.
If I could give less than one star I would. Horrible just horrible customer service. Buy buy to Buy Buy Baby. Worst customer service. Horrible online market shopping and shipping is inaccurate. Thank goodness for Target to save the day! And my bank to back me up. Thank you First Community Credit Union for always having my best interest and safe banking needs. I absolutely would never recommend Buy Buy Baby to any family enless you want your money taken and get nothing from it but a headache. Just horrible people.
Poor customer service. We didn’t have our registry number handy, and they told us to look it up. Would have liked for them to offer to look it up to assist with an order. They also had a customer on the phone on hold as we were being helped and multiple occasions told another coworker they weren’t going to worry about getting back to the person who was on hold. So, my post is also for the poor person on hold who was then was told that the store would call back later. Pretty appalling.
I am so disappointed in my last visit to Buy Buy Baby. We all know that pregnant women are at a very high risk for getting Covid-19 so I thought this would be a safe option to do some quick shopping for my toddler. The first thing I noticed is that there were at least 3 families out of maybe 5 or 6 total there during my shopping trip who were either wearing masks under their nose or just on their necks while they walked around the entire store. There were no employees enforcing the mask policy and I felt very uncomfortable. There was also an employee I saw wearing a gator instead of her mask while helping a customer. I'm glad she was wearing something but those also don't really do anything to stop the spread of Covid so I am surprised an employee was allowed to wear something like that. I will say though that I was happy to see this employee helping. I was at the store with my husband for a good 30 minutes and most of that time was spent in the car seat and stroller aisle. There were no employees in sight, besides the one I already mentioned, who were walking around and asking if anyone needed help. We were actually shopping for a new stroller and car seat and were hoping to get some help since we couldn't find what we were looking for and also needed some guidance. We did not see any available employees again, one employee in the entire store was walking around who could help us and we ended up leaving without purchasing anything. We will be looking elsewhere for the new stroller and car seat- somewhere with available employees and with a stricter mask enforcement policy.
Don’t depend on this place to order baby furniture. Wife and I ordered a set of baby furniture when she was 20 weeks pregnant last April. Baby is now close to 5 months old and we only have a few pieces of the order. Luckily we were able to piece together most of the nursery, but this is added stress I don’t recommend.
One of the best options in the area for a wide selection of baby and toddler items. Store associates have always been helpful. Recently came specifically for a certain store. Store associate was able to find it in back stock. Helped us load it in our car. Very personable and willing to help with other baby needs.
Just left this store and one of the workers was rude. Needed assistance with a crib and because I didn’t know the item number nor have a truck to take home; which I was trying to find out if it was even available in stock to take home, she decided to give assistance to someone else. For future reference, follow the customer to find out what they are specifically looking into purchasing. Will be taking our business else where. To some stores it may not be a big deal to lose a sale, but it should be a big deal to have a bad review.
Went there over the weekend for a registry and was unimpressed. First of all no one around to help. We wanted to look at car seats and strollers but no one would help. Same with bassinets. 2 workers sitting there but none asked if we needed help. Saw an employee in another aisle but again was not asked if we needed help. Ended up doing most of the registry online and even then they had nothing in stock. Really wishing there was somewhere else to buy this stuff but there really isn’t. Store also feels dirty especially for the prices.
