C.O.R.C. Thrift Store is a grassroots nonprofit that was started over 40 years ago in Potsdam, NY. Run by a small staff and volunteers, we offer low cost clothing & household goods, & distribute vouchers for free items to local people in need.
WHAT WE DO
Thanks to the benevolence of community donations, the C.O.R.C. Thrift Store is Potsdam’s largest source for previously owned items. We offer an extensive selection of used clothing and shoes for all ages. We also offer accessories, books, toys, linens, dishes and small household goods. All at incredibly low prices!
VOLUNTEERING
Want to get involved with our future? Volunteers are encouraged to help out on work days as well as contribute as Board Members. Your religious group or neighbor might already participate, join in! Call the store manager for details.

WHO WE ARE
C.O.R.C., the Council of Religious Concern, Thrift Store, is an independently run not-for-profit that was started over 35 years ago. Our store is run by a small staff, community volunteers and an executive board that is made up of religious bodies and individuals from the Potsdam area. At the close of each year, the C.O.R.C. Thrift Store donates its extra revenues to many community service agencies.
VOUCHERS
We offer vouchers that provide the customer free clothing, bedding and housewares. The customer is able to pick from items on the racks, and has the freedom to make their own choices. Vouchers are distributed by area churches, The American Red Cross, Neighborhood Centers, Helping Hands and other service organizations.
DONATIONS
We gladly accept donations of quality clothing and small, functional household items. Items must be in clean and sellable condition. To help facilitate your drop off, please call in advance. Donations are accepted Tue-Sat, 9AM-5PM.
