Excellent little cafe with great food. Nothing fried! Prices are very reasonable and the coffee is mmm mm good!
This restaurant definitely had a rocky first year or two but I feel like it has come along way since then. Their sandwich menu during the day is quite good I think their veggie sandwich is great and that plus their solid coffee makes it a great neighborhood place to work out of from time to time. I can't speak to their current dinner menu but the one time I ordered an entree I thought it was just ok. Nothing inventive and under-seasoned.
This place is a hidden gem! I usually get the Turkey sandwich and it's so good! It's always fresh and very flavorful! I get take out and its really easy and quick. I always find a spot right in front. A great place to eat in as well.
Cafe Bella is a hidden gem in Logan Square. Their menu is a bit of an identity crisis how many types of cuisine can you really be good at cooking? but everything we've tried there has been legitimately good. It's a cute place with friendly service and fair prices as compared to the neighborhood. Totally worth the visit!
Amazing avocado sandwich!! If you are in this area... You have to try it if you love avocado and bacon
this is one of our favorite neighborhood joints. The Quesadillas are very good, with fresh guacamole and either steak or chicken, either is yummy. There do not serve any fried foods here, there is no fryer, which is fine by me. The green salad is very good too, and the dressing is sweet and savory, like it a lot. The prices are right plus they always have some special going on. If you are in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and have lunch here.
I've been to Bella since they opened and know that the place is named after the owner's daughter. Sometimes you can catch him there helping out, it's a very intimate and low key cafe with AMAZING prices and it's BYOB. I've celebrated my b-day and my mom's b-day there and always had a nice time. Try their fish sandwich with pasta, I'm certainly a fan!
The best BYOB place in Logan Square. The sandwiches and salad are delicious, and a great place to grab coffee or something to-go if you're in a hurry. The music is sometimes funny, but well worth the cheap price and good food.
I have never left a negative review before and I do realize that this is not a 5 star cafe, but dear me, I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to eat. Unfortunately, the standard at this cafe was very poor. Where do I start? The menu cards very ABSOLUTELY disgusting, covered in oil and all sorts of dirt with the paper peeling away from the corners. "Never have I seen or tasted such amateurish dishes sold at such an exorbitant price," if you charge people, quite a bit of money, you must give food and service. The whole thing was a bit like a low-end fast - food restaurant focused on filling a tablefor the day rather than offering a quality experience and have loyal repeat customers! Don't be fooled, this place has nothing to do with "fine dining". My main entrée was a chimihurri steak dinner, I asked for my steak to be "well-done". Not only was my my skirt steak under cooked and had "chewed over fifty times to render one of the pieces swallowable." As for the service "some of the very worst service I've ever experienced," my entree included fried plantains but it was not included on my plate..when I asked my waitress she replied,"oh well we don't have any right now..that's why it's not on there" this went -- from "laughably awful" to "disappointingly bad" -- but ultimately I found deconstructed dishes and low-end decor.  The mark of a good restaurant is not necessarily its size, but the quality of its food and the generosity of its staff. Visiting the Cafe Bella was certainly an experience to remember, but one that I never hope to repeat and would not wish upon anyone else.
Their Groupon is Misleading. They should put "Groupon Tax and Sales Tax" NOT included. Had no idea there were 2 types of taxes. Also, the itemized cost of the food we had was cheaper to buy without the GROUPON. So we are getting a Refund for a Groupon and we paid the itemized bill instead. The atmosphere was like a hole in the wall place. The bruchetta was odd, a piece of hard bread with large slice of white cheese and some basil. :/ not very appetizing. The entres were okay. Nothing bad so about that or the desert. It is a BYOB place. Service was definitely NOT up to par. But I guess that can be expected from having ONE waitress for the entire place. I'm giving it a ONE star ONLY because they mislead us and argued with us. Bad customer service : Will NOT return...
