OMG, so delicious! Our server Omar was amazing. So considerate and helpful! Their Salsa is the best we have ever had in Raleigh. We always buy extra to take home!! 6-2023. Still AMAZING Mexican food. Get the Guacamole! So good.
One of our favorite places to eat. The Capistrano Rice Bowl is great, chicken posole soup, too. Portions are good sizes. Definitely can get busy, but staff has always been friendly.Food: 5/5
Tasty! Grabbed the shredded beef tacos and chimichanga. Full of flavor and if my stomach didn't stop me then I would've ordered more. Omar was timely and personable. Great ambiance. We will certainly be back.Food: 5/5
This place is a hidden gem. I stumbled upon it while I was door dashing, and the food smelled so good I had to order for myself!! They do definitely have the California prices but the serving size is very accurate for the fee. I took off a star because when I ordered my quesadilla I asked what came on it and was told just meat and cheese with pico and sauce on the side; however my order was smothered in onions and grilled peppers. I happen to love them but my picky family does not do it was a bit disappointing. Had I known I would have requested they be removed. Otherwise the food was delicious and the service was amazing! I will most definitely be back!
We ordered take out for dinner tonight and my wife ordered the Ensenda Grilled Wrap with chicken. When we got home and took the boxes out, her meal was labeled “Pork Tender Wrap”. Thinking that maybe they just made a labeling mistake on the box I cut into the wrap and if it wasn’t pork, then it was very undercooked chicken — not sure which is worse. I called the restaurant to let them know and they requested me to send photos of my meal which I did happily. They told me the meal was correct based on the photo. I let them know that my wife had already decided to make something else for dinner and it was going to end up in the garbage. They told me that they would neither remake the meal nor would they give me a refund. I texted them and asked for a copy of my receipt forgot to grab it when picking up to confirm that they had put the order in the correct way and they never responded to me. I’m not sure why this type of attitude or response was needed over $15 but here we are. We’ll not return and will share our experience with anyone considering dining here.
This place gave us food poisoning. My husband and I shared a chicken quesadilla for dinner, and we both woke up violently ill in the middle of the night. We have gotten food from here before and enjoyed it, but we definitely won’t be back after this experience.
Have always had pretty good experiences here. The tortilla soup is the best I’ve had anywhere. Other good ones are the plate-size quesadillas. Their smashed beans are great and the chips and salsa tasty too. The space isn’t much to write home about- but you’re there for the food. Service is hit or miss, but otherwise pretty reliable.
We are from San Diego so of course we like to check out all the Mexican restaurants around town. I had the most flavorful vegetarian burrito today. It was a giant burrito filled with cilantro riceor you can get it with Spanish rice, beans, onions and bell pepper but best of all it had an amazing spicy sauce. I ate the whole thing! Can’t wait to go back. If you are from California you should check them out.
I read comments about poor service but that was not our experience at all! The one server Brittany was super attentive and friendly. The kitchen is whoafully under staffed so actual delivery of food is slow. The claim of Mexi Cali food is very specific to SoCal for those who know the difference. The food was fresh and well seasoned. The guac made to order. The claim to fame on the quesadilla is well earned! The mahi mahi taco is Devine but be ready for the lime! Will definitely make this a weekly stop. Enjoy!
Great value for the money! Had a party catered for 30 adults and 20 kids. These chicken enchiladas were SO full of flavor. Shown here one of the three sheetpans we received: plenty, and maybe even a little too much for our guests to eat it all! The beans, rice, guacamole, queso, chips and salsa were on the side and serving utensils too. Just a great experience all around, highly recommend.
