This was a really great meal. Food is absolutely delicious. The service is a touch slow. I understand it's fine dining, but even then still justttt a touch slow. Staff were all very friendly. The Caesar salad and octopus carpaccio were delicious, as was the escargot. The steaks were out of bounds delicious. Perfect salt crust sear on the ribeye and cooked to perfection. One of the better steaks I've had for sure.
Been here twice and both times were absolutely amazing. It’s a fine place to dine with the price being worth the service and meals. The vibe this restaurant has is immaculate, whether you’re seated outside for a quieter time, or inside for more sound like a live piano in the background, you’re experience will be great. I’ve had so many good memories here, and probably one of the best places downtown. Greta for photos as well :
The service was fabulous, the food was nice. Cocktail was amazing! Fell in love with the octopus carpaccio. The foie gras that came with my duck was not the best one Ive ever had. Other than that, had a lovely evening. Thank you!
Upscale dining with dress code. The service is great because of a fine staff. The wine selection is unending, most folks would not be disappointed in the least. We had the seafood platter and escargot for appetizers, followed by individual dishes: scallops, lobster ravioli and salmon and ended with the Chocolate cake for dessert. Your choice for food in El Paso, being in the desert and far as you get from the sea probably shouldn't be ours but if you need a change from steak, this is a great choice. Parking: Look for spots on the street, can get pretty full fast
Great location, amazing atmosphere, the service was impeccable. The bread choices were delicious and the Moscow mules were great! Both our entrees were scrumptious and presented beautifully. The perfect upscale dining experience.Food: 5/5
First time visitor and this was quite the culinary experience. The choices of bread were amazing and the chicken was so savory. I didn't particularly enjoy the Chilean sea bass, the fishy aftertaste was overpowering. The service was very good, I just didn't like the room we were put in for the wedding anniversary, it was directly next to what seemed to be a kitchen door and staff were constantly going through it, naturally. But it was very distracting and took away from the experience. Nonetheless, we will be visiting again.
If you're a frequent business traveler to El Paso and you're looking for an upscale dining experience, I highly recommend Café Central. I keep coming back to eat here. The indoor tables have a dress code but you can still eat on the patio with the same menu. I have eaten here 3 times in the past year, I have had some standout dishes that I highly recommend, all were quite impressive. Let's start with the rack of lamb. This dish is cooked to perfection, with the meat being tender and juicy, and the seasoning just right. The dish is served with wiped potatoes and vegetables, that perfectly complement the lamb. Next up is the pork chop, I would highly recommend – probably the best piece of pork I have ever eaten. The meat is juicy and flavorful, crispy exterior and a tender center. Equally as good as the lamb. The duck breast was also great. I would recommend ordering it rare I had it medium rare. The jam and black rice paired perfectly together. Moving on to the salads, the beet salad is my favorite. The beets are cooked to perfection, with a tender and juicy texture and the perfect amount of goat cheese to complement the earthy flavor of the beets. The green chili soup is the perfect way to start a meal. The soup is rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. Extremely unique and delicious, even if you don’t like spicy food. Finally, the bread. The bread is awesome and be sure to try two different ones. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for an upscale dining experience in El Paso. The dishes are expertly crafted, with a focus on flavor and quality ingredients. The ambiance is elegant and refined, making it the perfect place for a business dinner or a special occasion. If you're looking for a standout meal that you won't forget, be sure to check out Café Central on your next trip to El Paso.
Fransisco our waiter did a perfect job. We had the lobster ravioli, crab cakes Scottish salmon and the ribeye. For dessert we shared the Tres Leches. Every thing was done to perfection! This is an historic spot dating back over 100 years. For celebrations, it is an El Paso institution and must. We will be back!
Wife and i celebrated our wedding anniversary at cafe central and it was amazing. The food the service and atmosphere were perfect for a celebration of any kind. We had lobster ravioli and puntas de filet steak tips. Our server Anwar was excellent and brought out a slice.of cheesecake that was to die for. Cannot go wrong if you're looking for a night out you won't forget. Well worth the price!!!!!!!
The atmosphere is romantic. I love the live piano playing in the background. The food is exquisite! Highly recommended!Food: 5/5
