So after checking out the rest of the restaurants in this gate C, this seems to be the most reasonably priced. I saw lots of comments that were not very good. And I disagree with most of them. I don't know if there was bad staff or something at the point of those comments. But there was a long line when I was here and they went fairly quick and handled themselves well for how many people they were serving. They communicated well saying to hold on a minute while they were quickly trying to get orders together. I got the Breakfast Cuban and I thought it was pretty good. Still a little bit pricey for the size but in regards to airport food I thought it was a pretty good deal.
DONT BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS I am not too sure why all the bad reviews as well. This place was super affordable for an airport if you travel often you know prices can get wild. Prices are going to be higher at an airport, that’s just how it goes. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. We used the self service kiosk and it was user friendly and quick. We ordered our breakfast Cuban and it was ready in under 5 minutes. It was a decent size for the price and pretty tasty. This is a fast food place at an airport. This is not a gourmet place. Align your expectations with what you’re buying. I would absolutely go here again. The staff was friendly and the food good. Give this place a try and don’t believe the negativity.
Ask for the 20 oz. Café con Leche We chanced upon this cheerful little café after the usual Starbucks-around-the-corner did us wrong with extra delays. No overpriced burnt-bean coffee for us today. When we turned the corner, we couldn’t believe our eyes. Better coffee at a better price in better environs. The cheerful Café con Leche crew kept the queue moving briskly and before we knew it they had crafted a 20 oz double-shot masterpiece. Should make it most of the flight. What a great day!
On our way to Puerto Rico and had a layover in Tampa terminal C. I really liked the fact I could get a single shot of espresso. My wife and I got a Cuban sandwich and it was good. The wait time wasn't bad considering it is an airport.Food: 4/5
Great Cuban toast. Hot coffee. Nice people. Slow service for the food portion, but the coffee came fast. Very good, just was in a little bit of a hurry.Recommended dishesCuban Toast
Love love love this Cuban coffee place. Always stop in when flying Southwest. I really love the little kiosk that lets you skip the line--which is always long. Don't forget the Cuban toast!Food: 5/5
Okay, I was starving for breakfast because my partner and I had an early flight so this was the first place I saw and it looked pretty nice from the outside. Let’s start off with the fact that the breakfast sandwiches are 8-10 dollars a piece. Insane. I ended up ordering the Ybor which is ham cheese and egg. How could that go wrong right? I never get to the point where I’m about to throw up from food but this did it for me. The ham was over seasoned, the eggs were mushy and bland and the bread was so dry I inhaled it and coughed. I took one bite and spit it out and threw away this whole 8 dollar sandwich. Now with the coffee, my partner and I work at a coffee shop so we are connoisseurs of espresso and coffee. The iced coffee was watery. And when we asked where the cream and sugar were, the very rude worker just pointed to a pot of cream without and politeness. Overall I wish I could give this place no stars. It was disgusting and the workers were so rude. We ended up going over to Starbucks and spending less for a really good sandwich. Don’t waste your time here.
I was waiting at this location in terminal C for 20 minutes for a cafe con leche that cost me $8. When I asked the woman behind the counter what the hold up was, she told me to wait and she’d be right back. Needless to say 10 minutes later she had not returned and my flight was boarding, so I never received my overpriced coffee and milk nor did I have any decent customer service.
I ordered the Spanish Turkey sandwich on their menu. I waited for around 15 minutes, I get it they have a lot of orders. The cappuccino I ordered came out fast but when my sandwich came out, it was two slices of bread. There was nothing in the sandwich. We paid full price for the sandwich too. I’m sure it was just a mistake but this was a bad airport restaurant experience.
This place was very unwelcoming. All workers had an attitude. I got a Ybor sandwich and it was fully frozen. I asked them to reheat it for me and it was still cold. I dont know how they could serve cold food. I would not got back or recommend this place.Food: 1/5
